Quoting: CruelAngelQuestion: How good is that "AMD Radeon™ Graphics Vega 7" compared to let's say an 8 year old, at that time middle-low tier nvidia card?

Talking Point: how about a monthly Steam Game Pass from Valve

No thanks. My library is already full of games that I'll never get around to playing without paying a subscription to bulk it out further. I also have serious doubts that Valve would take platform choice into consideration, making the bulk of any subscription games Windows-exclusives, which I have no interest in supporting.

Works fine on AMD here (>77 hours and counting), although I use the OpenGL version since the vulkan one is stuttery (or was, I haven't tested it in a while, also haven't tested amdvlk, just mesa/radv).

I use

mesa_glthread=true %command%

as the launch options, which was recommended by a GoL user.

Got to the Caspian Sea area in Metro Exodus. Go to the lighthouse and it bugged. Had to restart the chapter, losing 90% of my guns, mods and resources. :/

After restarting the chapter it CTD. So now I'm taking a break.

Back to Skyrim.

Proton Experimental begins work to allow Resident Evil Village to run on Linux

Aside from remakes, Resident Evil hasn't produced a decent game in over 10 years. Not heard much about Village, but I don't have high hopes. Regardless, if it doesn't have native Linux support, I'm not interested.

Quoting: BumadarI was hoping it might be in modern Japan I loved the train names [External Link] they give them.... and yes I been on the [Thunderbird]("https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thunderbird_(train)") :grin:
I don't think I've ever been on the Thunderbird, but there's nothing like being on a Shinkansen when it really accelerates. Or being on a platform when one goes past at full speed for that matter! :grin:

Quoting: PublicNuisanceTo all those who refuse to buy Linux games from GOG due to them not releasing Linux versions of their client or newer games: do you buy Windows games on Steam ? Just a curiousity........
Personally, no. I only buy games with native Linux support. If a dev doesn't support Linux, then I don't support them. Why would devs consider porting games to Linux if Linux users will buy their game either way?
