I do not play Destiny ever, but have reddit account. I must told: I bought too many licenses on Steam and GOG, so I only grab free licenses currently. I have to play in many games, I had never installed.

Valve should just allow hardware vendor to publish one's classification alongside with Deck Verified/Playable. It should also mark, the classification is only hardware opinion. I think doing something else could destroy Steam Deck ecosystem. There could be many different hardware, so Valve could not ensure games will be Verified on each.

This maybe disallow grew up for new companies, but it is free market law.

If vendors of top-sellers would made a discount to kept their titles on the top-sellers list, we will had a problem. Maybe there no new company will emerge, not new games, etc. :-(
I hope it would not be true.

YouTube thought my Steam Deck video was 'harmful and dangerous'
29 Aug 2022 at 12:24 pm UTC

Maybe some Windows user wrote a boot, which suggest your movie is dangerous? I do not known if Youtube could told you, what really happens - public personal info (like IP addresses) is probably illegal. Take in mind, that zombie computers could be used to suggest your movie is harmful, so YouTube cannot public information about all victims of this attack. ;-D

Any kind of DRM is bad in roots, but I used to call Regional Restrictions: "Robin Hood Strategy". It is an strategy to maximize income, but also to help poor people. We maximize income, cause more players buy our products (of course by price they want/be able to pay), but players (as I said) could be able to buy license/right to play game.

Valve dev understandably not happy about glibc breaking Easy Anti-Cheat on Linux

And there exist games, like Heroes Of Might and Magic 3, which (as far as I known) do not work on Windows, so Valve remove it from shop. Also, on Vista was a lot of software, which do not work (Soldat, Neostrada Drivers, etc.). So do not create panic. Windows also do not have 100% backward compatibility. It have much greater, but telling Linux sucks is not very right.

When I was on University, we had trouble with Windows (Vista?), which dropped support for old Netware protocols, but it was
Windows, which have nearly entire market, so people must adapt.

Also, on one polish University device was created and they had problems write drivers for Windows. They wrote drivers for Linux without problems. Again.. This device do not be very popular due Windows had entire market and was stop existing. Simple - nobody bought it, so nobody produce it.
