Quoting: boltronicsI noticed Sniper Elite V2 started working with 1.9.14 (something that's never happened before in all the years I've owned it), but crashed after 2 seconds of playing the developer animation. At least it had sound, the correct aspect ratio, was properly maximized, etc. Only two seconds, but the game was working perfectly for those two seconds. Making progress! :)Yeah this is correct and happend in zombie nation army too

In this wine version more CSMT work is added (but in game tested seems similar to 1.9.13)
In other case like unreal 2003, d3d mode runs better (maybe buffer management have relation ?) compared before versions (tested sometime ago) and opengl also works without problem
Direct3D

OpenGL

However try serious sam 2 opengl mode but crash at begin, on direct3d mode works without problem
In other test legend of kay DX11 begins work
View video on youtube.com
However in before versions runs more slow and crash after main menu, main menu still dont visible
But now is posible entry in game but have several textures missing

*In senran kagura shinovi versus stop flickering if you have wine staging with csmt option enabled but in this version flickering stay reduced (in menus stay now but reduced compared before versions) and now is possible test in game before this is not posible because game have intensive flickering (fps in game stay in before versions around 5fps)
**In sonic lost worlds in before versions dont show characters and now shows characters without problems
*** In devil may cry 4 in lastest versions have some flickering problem in main menu textures but in this version problem are gone

What have you been playing on Linux recently and what do you think about it?
6 Jun 2016 at 4:57 pm UTC
However i compile wine (i386 only) in each release (around wine 1.9.8 all dependencies are satisfied: gstreamer-base-plugins-dev are solved)
In before versions (1.7.55 and before) various games have problems with sound
Dark Souls in regular wine have serious flickering problem, however staging solve this issue in various titles

- DragonBall: Xenoverse(wine, works but no sound)
- The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim(wine, works but no sound)
- other games what I want to run wine, is impossible (dark souls, gta v, just cause 2, battlefield 4 etc...)
