Nightmares from the Deep: The Siren`s Call Hidden Object Game Released On Steam For Linux

Besides I played two of them and they are fully featured and enjoyable games, with proper interface, unlike some of the notorious ports of mobile games, like Luxuria Superbia or Finding Teddy.
Maybe if Steam indeed marked such ports (it's been requested for a while now), you wouldn't be tempted to form such unfounded opinions.

Quoting: BeamboomThis is a iPhone game. I seriously wish Steam should add a filter to their interface where we could just filter out all those mobile phone games being thrown after us as "new releases" these days.I couldn't agree less. These games are made for PC and only after that get their phone/tablet version. See their latest game, it's currently only available for Windows and Mac: http://www.artifexmundi.com/page/piraci3/ [External Link]
Personally I consider these to be pure pollution.

I have a special place reserved on my disk for XCOM (already bought it last year, on first gossips about Linux version). I've been waiting to play an XCOM game ever since finishing UFO: Enemy Unknown on Amiga for the n-th time. ;-)

Thanks for the review! The game has been sitting on my Steam account since the Humble Double Fine Bundle and I couldn't get around to play it thus far. It's time to change it. :-)

Yeah, there were a few mistranslations, but overall the script was pretty decent.

It's already the third game by Artifex Mundi released on Steam. They have quite a few more games in their backpack: http://www.artifexmundi.com/page/games/ [External Link] - interestingly, though, they don't list Linux support even on those that were put on Steam for Linux. So there's no telling if their other games work on Linux or not. Maybe they're porting to Linux as they're releasing on Steam? Though I'd guess most of their games work on the same engine, so maybe the others are also Linux-ready?
Anyhow, I played Nightmares from the Deep and quite enjoyed it. It's good to see more of their games are coming to Steam/Linux.

Just wait for GOG to finally roll out Linux support for all these dosbox-wrapped classics! I really hope to be able to play most of them out of the box (w/o configuration tweaks). It should be this way on Steam as well, instead we're seeing dosbox titles released as Windows only (like Descent or classic Tomb Raider). :-/
