Found a factory in China where a contract had been signed with them by the US designer but they had then pulled out due to some anti-Chinese manufacturing campaign at the time, decided to make them in the US instead with an even higher retail price than before. So the factory in China, having been sent all the designs already, just began producing them anyway and selling them for a tiny fraction of the cost of the US made ones. I picked them up and they were superb, could not see any signs of cut corners that affected their performance. Slightly different circumstances as it was the designer who breached the contract, but paid off for me.

Exactly the same happened with some very expensive woodwork machinery made by one of the companies I know. They outsourced the production to China, after some time pulled out, but the Chinese factory kept producing it and selling off-brand, and much cheaper. IP laws just don't exist there, any product design outsourced for production to China is as good as given away.

Thumbs down on the price increases. That these currencies went down (vs dollar) doesn't mean that people using them suddenly can afford to spend more on games, quite the opposite.

They still have the West Balkans (upcoming) and Greece, then maybe Ireland and hopefully Russia + Belarus revisited some day, and Ukraine (+ Moldova) of course. I wouldn't mind some mini-DLCs like Northern Scandinavia, Iceland and/or smaller islands. And yeah, that's about it as far as the map goes, not counting the remodelling the oldest parts. Next they might continue adding stuff like new cargoes, trailer types etc. - we'll see I guess.

I'm currently playing whatever I bought on Stadia, before it shuts down. 33% through RDR2 and 10% through Cyberpunk. The latter, I heard, has progress transferable to Steam, but Red Dead probably not.

Fun fact: tm application for "steam deck" was filed on 14.07.2021, just a day or two before opening preorders. So maybe we'll see some announcement about neon prime soon?
