Proprietary office suite? Software store? I thought Manjaro was just arch with more conservative approach to packages, but it seems that it's to Arch something like Ubuntu to Debian? I'll stick with the vanilla distro, thank you very much. ;-)

It seems quite fun. ;-) Anyhow, wasn't Civilization always a kind of battle royale anyway? ;-)

Haven't played it, but the concept does seem a lot like Creeper World, so not super unique. ;-)

I used to love KDE, using it all the way through v2 and v3. When they released KDE4, I promptly switched to gnome 2. Then came Gnome 3 so I switched to Mate. With Mate losing momentum in favour of Cinnamon, I switched to XFCE and I never felt the need to switch again (though I have sometimes tried other DEs, including newer versions of KDE). The worst thing about open source is that all the time people break something that is working well, and the best thing about open source is that there are always plenty of alternatives to switch to. :P

I've been tempted to try Construct3 (my kid is looking to level up from Scratch but Godot scares him) but I hate their subscription model. GDevelop might be quite what I needed.

Seems like they will allow players to mark/unmark certain RSS feeds, probably also add their own, and then sort the news, attaching them to a given game. This may work but it could also be easily abused. Gotta wonder what precautions they prepared for this. Also I think that publishers may be quick to protest it, since some game pages could easily get overflown by the usual drama and negativity not necessarily related to the game itself.

Quoting: Liam DaweNot quite. I just read on Ars [External Link], that seems to indicate it will expand to include more sites based on who follows them. Will be interesting to see how they handle that and if we get included somehow..."Any [press] outlet could show up to players who want to follow that outlet and receive that news. We need a system that can support any language. All six current outlets [in the existing Steam Library] only serve a particular audience, and they only speak English. Soon, any outlet can show up in there based on who's following them, and then we can support different languages."

Quoting: TheSHEEEPI hope it will let me disable that "recent news" section (or it will be gone altogether), as all that gets filled with is "quality journalism" from RPS and the likes.IIRC the auto-aggregation of news will be totally gone in the new client, because it inadvertently promoted Epic news in the recent times.

Quoting: tonRI gonna say I'm fall in love with "Automatic Show", it's have very huge potential. The best alternatives to watch the games' gameplay/trailers and at the same time avoid/evading some bias youtubers/streamers/news/shill-curator bullshit-ness.It's definitely my favourite project of the three. I hope it will become a monthly/weekly thing. Thought it would be cool to be able to enlarge the video without losing the clickable game banner.

I like the idea of Steam Labs. My suggestion: broadcasting from Linux.
