I don't know how the port holds up now, but it was a good work back then.

Quoting: undeadbydawnSpeaking from harsh experience, Shadow Of Mordor is no great loss. The Linux version was so bad I never got beyond the menu screen, while it was completely flawless - including all online elements - under Glorious Eggroll. While I'm still more likely to buy a game if it offers a Linux version, I generally expect to play under Proton.I bought it right after Linux release and completed it with zero problems on gtx 970.

I have 10k+ games on Steam and only ever requested developer support for a dozen maybe, including zero games from Feral.
I once requested support for a game from Aspyr but in the end never got it, so there you have it.
It's very common for a game to have a final sale before leaving Steam, so why not.
For example I bought Sword Coast Legends for something like 5 euro because it was being delisted due to licence expiration...

Quoting: wytrabbitA car? No. A Game? Of course.Quoting: pbweird that they didn't do a farewell sale at the Feral Store for example.A sale for something they're about to drop support for? Would you buy a car on sale that is about to be discontinued and does not come with a warranty?

As long as there are Linux depots, it's fine by me. They already got my money for both games.
I guess they knew the licences would expire at the end of 2020, weird that they didn't do a farewell sale at the Feral Store for example.

The Stadia rush might not be bringing many new games to "normal" Linux (yet?) but at least it motivates engine creators to fix Linux-specific bugs.

Quoting: RedfaceI trust it will, or maybe they will skip a number or release SteamOS 4 (because 3 was already in the works but they scrapped it - https://repo.steampowered.com/steamos/dists/clockwerk/ [External Link]). I seem to recall they planned to base the new version on another distro, perhaps Arch? There is certainly something going on here: https://repo.steampowered.com/arch/ [External Link]Quoting: pbI'm gaming on SteamOS 2, but eagerly waiting for SteamOS 3. :whistle:I liked SteamOS too for the PC I have connected to the TV, but it has got no updates including security updates since summer 2019, so I gave up on it. I doubt SteamOS 3.0 will ever be releases, and if then how can we trusty Valve to not also drop support on that without any announcement?

I'm gaming on SteamOS 2, but eagerly waiting for SteamOS 3.
Tried GamerOS but it was rather meh.
For working&gaming I cycled through Mandrake, Slackware, Debian, PCLinuxOS, LFS, Mint, LMDE and probably some others until finally settling with Arch and living happily ever since. Note that I'm not recommending it to others, especially newbies.
Ubuntu? No thanks. I tried it numerous times and there was always something broken. Wifi or hibernation, or touchpad, or drivers etc. etc. It's jut not worth the hassle.

Stadia launched in my country a week ago and I'm amazed how well it works! I tested it alongside GeForce Now and it's much more streamlined, and puts noticeably less strain on the CPU.
But I have no way of purchasing the stadia controller (google store not available in my region), not to mention getting it in a promo like some other countries, so I don't think I'll become a subscriber just yet...
On the plus side it motivated me to finally upgrade my home network.
And I bought Borderlands 3 Ultimate for a few pennies (90% discount + $10 coupon) that I can now play even without pro.
