Quoting: finaldestGRRR. I feel I was denied critical, Neeeeeeeed to know, Information.

I have dropped £60 this week on Games/DLC and now a steam sale appears.
You can request a refund on the games if you haven't played them for 2h+ yet. "the game is cheaper now" is a valid reason for that.

There are Epic codes on Humble. Whether they can be generated free of change remains to be seen though.
That's good to know. However I checked for The Walking Dead and it's not there. I completed TWD 1&2, I'd like to play 3&4 but they are currently Epic exclusive and Epic Store refuses to sell them to me, because payment methods readily accepted by steam, humble, fanatical and lots of others are not good enough for Epic. Which is probably for the better, because I tried to install epic launcher with wine and it didn't, well, launch...

I’d like to challenge critics to state what moral principle you feel is at stake. If it’s okay for one company to avoid the 30% Valve tax by selling exclusively through their own store, why is it wrong for multiple companies to work together to achieve the same goals?
It's quite simple really. Valve gets 30%, yes, but only on Steam Store purchases. Every developer or publisher are welcome to generate keys for free and sell them in their own shop or other stores. So effectively Valve's cut is significantly less. And with all that Steam provides (infrastructure, community, marketing) it's really just about right. Does Epic allow devs/pubs to sell Epic Store keys elsewhere? If not, why?

Steam to get a public beta for the Library overhaul in "weeks"

Nice, thanks a lot! Looks like I'll be getting into the beta when it's available. I really like the option to sort by release date and hours played, but notably missing is sorting by user score (instead of not-so-useful metacritic score) and by achievement completion. There are external tools allowing that (steamdb, astats) but it would be great to have them at hand.

Filtering by single/multi/coop is very handy too (they added the coop filter to big picture some time ago and I'm using it often on SteamOS). But I'd also like to see negative filters like "NOT multiplayer". :D

Quoting: pbDo we have a screenshot of new sorting and filtering options?
And is the list view still there?
Check the other article for the new filtering.
Thanks, great to see filters by type, genre and the others.
What about sorting, the default seems to be alphabetical, is there sorting by user reviews, hours played, achievement completion etc.?

I used to like the game but the "community" has long ruined the experience for me.

Borderlands 2: Commander Lilith & the Fight for Sanctuary, the (currently) free DLC is out, but not for Linux yet

The DLC will be free until July 8th, where 2K said in the press email it will be $14.99 after.
Not sure how to interpret that. Does it mean that if you play it before July 8th it's free and it will disappear after that only to return if it's bought? Because it doesn't appear is "in my library".
Currently it's published as "free on demand", so unless they fix it, it will disappear from the library (and even now it's not listed among the dlc unless you install it). It's a common mistake, so if they intention is really to let us keep it, then let's hope they fix it by changing to "no cost".
