Feral Interactive are teasing another Linux port

That Pegasus rider looks very much like Agent 47. "Where are we going?" How about New Zealand for starters? :-)

No, but seriously, the rider is obviously a valkyrie, so Valkyria Chronicles 4. Made by Sega, so the possibility is strong.

The big differences between OS/2 and Linux are that OS/2 was closed source, developed by one company and cost money. So of course it was doomed in the long run once Windows started being preinstalled on new computers. Hardly anyone would wipe a preinstalled commercial system to buy and install another commercial system, but for most people it's not a problem to ditch Windows (which they got "for free" anyway) and install Linux, or at least install it alongside Windows "just in case" and then never boot the doze again.

I'm waiting for Feral before buying SotTR and Hitman 2 so it better be one of these.

I think the former is more probable, given the hint and the publisher...

Well, Bard's Tale IV has a Linux version just round the corner, so I wouldn't worry about that, but Wasteland 3? Not so sure. At least I haven't backed that one, because FIG didn't like my country, heh.

I said it before and I'll say it again: it's not just about Linux users who backed their kickstarter, but about all backers. People who are going to play it on Windows *now* will still be devoid of the promised Linux version when they decide to switch in the future. So basically they should send out a mail to all up-to-date buyers with the option to get an unconditional refund or keep the preorder under new conditions. That's what banks and mobile operators are required to do every time they change the rules and I think it should be extended to game developers/publishers who pre-sell their products promises.

Quoting: SalvatosI don't get this. Even the SteamOS + Linux tab on Steam's store has a field for the mininmum and recommended OS. For instance, The Long Dark (random example) lists "OS: SteamOS or Ubuntu 16.04 or 17.04" as a minimum. It's pretty obvious that only those are supported and anyone on any other distro who complains about a distro-specific issue can be told that it was always made clear that their OS was not supported.
You would think that, but some people don't (want to) accept it and they will still complain that it doesn't work on Arch for example (I have Arch and SteamOS and I am perfectly aware that some games work fine on one and don't even launch on the other, and it works both ways). Then again it's not a Linux-specific issue, go browse some older games on Steam and you will see a flood of negative reviews saying the game doesn't work on Win10 - while sometimes (but pretty rare for now) the game *only* works on Win10 so Win7 users will rage. Everyone wants to play but nobody wants to comply. Bless Valve for Proton. :D
