Quoting: LinuxerCould therebe a snap pack ? im overwhelmed on the install page again https://openrazer.github.io/#ubuntu [External Link] and they say ppa is dangerous :angry:I'm totally not surprised getting overwhelmed trying to install this. Usually when normal people click a Download button they expect and get a simple package and the installation can start the next minute. But here clicking Download, you get:

The sooner we get rid of Nouveau the better. Or better if Nvidia would start providing open drivers. Why in the world must the damned drivers be closed in this day and age! Opening up would lessen Nvidias own work as an additional benefit. But no.

This survey appears not very useful until we get some absolute numbers. Also the "other" section includes probably Linuxes and then also Chrome OS is definitely Linux but is often left out from Linux share.
"Linux has nearly half of the desktop OS Linux market. It would be twice as much if people could stop arguing about who counts and who doesn't".

This is very late and should already be hurried IMO. To put all possible resources to get Wayland's going fine on Linux Mint. Until it works, Linux Mint is certainly not an alternative to much more modern Ubuntu ecosystem by default..

Steam snap has always worked great for me and i prefer it in confinement means over the flatpak version.
This improvement makes it even better (from Ubuntu forum):
"Many gamers store their games on external drives, so it was an important issue to us to get external libraries up to par with the Steam deb. Now, any game libraries located in /mnt, /media/, or /run/media, /opt, /src, or /home can be used in the Steam Snap with no issues."
Great!

Microsoft owned Minecraft now? Best to get familiar with Minetest. It is a free and open source adaptation started by another Finn Perttu Ahola. MineClone2 brings you this "Minecraft" in pretty much wholesome way without Microsoft hovering in the background.

Almost 1000 people put out. This indicates problems within EGS. If their business model was just fine, we wouldn't see any of this kind of behavior.
