I was able to play 2 coop multiplayer matches yesterday, one joining to a host, and the other being the host myself (I had to look for players who wanted to play on the Discord channel, but they were eager to do it without any drama, all very pragmatic). It was very fun, though I noticed how far behind I ended up by never trying other classes.
What surprised me was how well the multiplayer worked, no lag at all in any session, the first we were 4 players, and the second 2. Very clean netcode it seems, also Godot rules.

I'm very happy that they did seem to deliver after all this time -and also the choice to use Godot, for those devs that still treat it as a sub-par engine compared to Unity or GameMaker.
If I have to complain about something, it's that for my currency, $10.50 -which is the asking price out for early access (and because I own the first game, otherwise it would be $12), it's more expensive than I thought it would be, like... $7~

It's been already 10 years? omg... well, for once it's a well deserved success. Anyone who played Grim Dawn in the last years know how giant it is, how easy it's to be immersed, and how it's the perfect evolution from single player Diablo 3 -specially if you like play on Linux. I should reinstall it again to check the new updates while escaping from the current harsh world...

At least the native Linux version, which is the one I tried for already half an hour, has some bugs of game freezing likes (there's a thread on the discussion forum on Steam), however, saving frequently temporarily "fixes" that, and since the devs answered, I would bet they will work on solving the problem.
The game seems very good IMO, some may seem it's a basic CRPG, and it probably is, but it's also _very fun_ if you like turn based combat; there are plenty of secrets (classic NewBlood), the weapons feel good, the difficult balance it's actually really good, with a smooth curve... I only played others CRPG like Vaporum and MarySkelter, and Dungeons of Dusk it's more basic but at least the same fun as those.

This are the few demos I liked enough to wishlist the games, of the 4-5 I have tried:

• Dungeons of DUSK: Very good. Native Linux compatibility, shows it's a "labor of love", smooth CRPG difficult curve. Very good performance.


• Gambonanza: A turn-based chess roguelike. Very fun, seems too basic at the beginning, the chess-puzzle difficult escalates pretty smoothly. Similar to Balatro with a cool and animated interface, and in the sense you buy very strategic power ups with money earned after each special "mini chess" match.

Not my favorite genre, but it's so good in every aspect, it's so well balanced, we have waited for it for so much time... yes, you already know what game I'm talking about. For me, Silksong made the year in gaming (whatever that means).

This is very nice to see, even with such lower numbers, the trend is obvious and I have no doubt it will increase more for December, but for the non gaming people, I gotta say, remember WSL 2 it's getting better everyday, and it's already super stable, also I have a feeling MS is getting married with Canonical... my 2 cents.

They removed a lot of libraries... I know, increase in speed, less memory overhaul, etc etc, but I expect many old games not working anymore...
imagine if the library support could be optional for "advanced users", I would like that.
