Instead of spending god knows how much on dlss/fsr spend it on better hardware
Problem is that the better hardware doesn't always exist.

Technology doesn't always advance in sync. Monitors first get higher resolution or refresh rate and then GPU:s need to catch up. Also GPU features like raytracing rise demands for the GPU. Dropping resolution gets the framerate back to acceptable level, but FRS and DLSS offer a good compromise.
Plus this also woerks on Nvidia, so 30series card can use it unlike the latest DLSS incarnation that needs a 40XXcard.

I bought it in Esarly Access as had played the demo, and found it worked flawlwssly on my rig with no glitches with Proton Experimental , it really is fun in a way that many AAA eye candy titles isn't Oh and those bushes with fruit on, eat the fruit before you smash it, there lies a health powerup

I don't thing these sector-based games will look good with ray tracing, unless someone will completely rework lighting in all maps (let alone tons of community map packs), but i think Quake Engine based games would benefit from ray tracing a lot.
Looking at Quake 2 RTX that might well be workable quite a few games might benefit, however likely will need DLSS for some games on RTX 20xx gpu.

Steam Next Fest June 2023 is live now with lots of games

Well Rise Of The Triad Ludicrous Edition demo was up, and it makes the game look reasonable, same gameplay, with improvements, what it does highlight is what they managed to do with the Wolfenstein 3D engine back in 1994 jumping flying walls and ceilings with textures and point lights. at last can be played at today's resolutions.

Kdenlive just gets better with every update, its my main editor now has been for some time, it does get looked down on though by the Adobe pans, and of course the free version of Davinci Resolve is decent, but Kdenlive is shaping up well as a Pro tool now.

Quoting: vipor29i have a 3070 so i am pretty sure it can handle it in 4k even if i got to turn on dlss
Wish you good luck.
Not holding my breath about performance with a 3090 either if its showcasing DLSS 3, DLSS is a fudge as hardware requirements for that RT beyond the physical capabilities of the GPU at 100% scaling stil in all probability, Look at Cyberpunk with RTX 30XX at 4K without DLSS will Portal be same for 40XX?

NVIDIA announces Ada Lovelace their 3rd generation RTX, DLSS 3 and Portal RTX

Reality check, looks like to utilise full potential its new rig time for people looking at 4090, so 1200 watt PSU preferable, newest AM5 platform for AMD,PCIE 5 DDR5 Might be OK with AM4 5900X or 5950 but still need that PSU same for Intel equivalents.
