PAYDAY 2 on Linux & SteamOS, some thoughts & port report
27 Mar 2016 at 5:33 pm UTC

Runs prety well on old hardware too (Intel Dual Core + GTX550Ti). Very good port, I'm having a lot of fun with it. :)

Does Dying Light's Linux to Linux multiplayer fail for you? Please confirm it here

Tried with random players, couldn't join any of them.

Dying Light's online modes get bigger with The Following, hopefully they actually fix it for Linux

Good to see that GOL is *finally* point out this very (and annoying) OLD bug. Better later than never.

Dying Light: The Following - Enhanced Edition has gone gold, new teaser and weapon code for you
22 Jan 2016 at 1:58 pm UTC

Quoting: TheBoss
Quoting: marcelomendesbut this bug is completely ignored by the devs and GOL. :(
Says who? I was only unable to connect to Samsai, but I've had plenty of people join my own session, and I've joined others.
Says the "Steam forums". Search for "disconnect" on the forums. This problem doesn't affect windows users (much) that join your session. Just Linux <-> Linux or Linux -> Windows.

Does "Enhanced Edition" actually FIX the COOP issues? NO. Doesn't look so "enhanced" to me. It bother me a bit that I only see good news and no word about this issues here on this blog. Because once you beat the game on single-player you probably want to play coop, but this bug is completely ignored by the devs and GOL. :(

Techland show how hilarious it is when a Linux port has no quality control with Dying Light (updated)

Quoting: BonsThis is not the only issue that this game has,
The Multiplayer is also completely broken for a long time now. When you join a game you are getting instant kicked.

It seems that there is no maintenance anymore on the Linux version for a long time, are the 2 Linux Devs on Techland still working there?
Just tested the game after update and the coop bug IS STILL THERE. They haven't done shit about it. This really makes me sad (and mad) about those guys.

Dying Light: Enhanced Edition announced, sounds excellent

Quoting: MaxPower
Quoting: marcelomendesAll I want is a working Co-Op :(
Quoting: shiba87I Bought Dying Light recently and is amazing. It run's smoothly even with my 560 GTX Ti, but the multiplayer is completely broken. It's impossible to play in co-op.
I hope this enhancement includes a patch for this, because this is a game to play while someone else is crying of terror :p
What ???! I bought two copy to do the coop with my wife :( Was waiting for some part to arrive, in order to build my Steam Box.

What is the problem with the multi-player (specifically coop) ?
Windows users can join your Linux session, but you will get a hard time trying to join other linux sessions or windows sessions.

To sum up:
Win -> Linux - OK
Linux -> Win - FAIL
Linux -> Linux - FAIL

I heard it works sometimes, but me and my friend tried several ways, even directly connected to the network with a "real" ip address and now firewalls, but no joy. It seems the network code is broken on Linux build. When you try to join a lobby you get a "disconnect" message and is pulled back to your saved game.

Bound By Flame, an impressive looking action RPG now on SteamOS & Linux

Another beautiful game on my library? For the price (80% off), I can't say no! BOUGHT! :)

EDIT:

Well, after downloading and try to play for awhile, I ended asking for a refund. The game run the first cut scene in slow motion (with no option to skip) and I got a black screen right after. Since I've no problem running other games (even Shadow of Mordor or The Witcher 2) I'm not going to struggling myself trying to solve those issues.

7 Days to Die Completely Broken For Mac & Linux
5 Jul 2015 at 9:13 pm UTC

I'm done with Unity since my last refund (Son of Nor). Most of the devs don't use Linux and doesn't care, it is just a checkbox for them. I'm also done with Early Access in general, with few exceptions (Ark), because they use this (EA) as excuse to delay fixes for Mac/Linux prioritizing the Windows users. I think linux users should stay away of Early Access, and specially if it is a Unity based game.
