Tried Sniper Elite V2 and Lara Croft & the Guardian of Light
both gave :
The Steam servers are too busy to handle your request for ....... Error Code (2)
When it works it will be great, much better than dropping in a cracked exe.
Update : Realized I was not forcing Experimental setting on the games.
Lara Croft & the Guardian of Light - is working
Sniper Elite V2 - brinks up a launcher window with a play button, then it crashes.

Just tried Tomb Raider 1 - it installs OpenLara and adds the music from OpenTomb. It's very nice.
You can also use Boxtron for a more original look, but better configured. I like that Boxtron usually configures midi music.

On Ubuntu 465.24.02 is available via the PPA but it seems to be missing 32bit and then Steam crashes.
I reverted back to 460 and Steam opened again (to continue it's download of Metro Exodus).

Hi Hamish,
I started with ZX81 then on to, Acorn Atom, IBM XT , 286, 386, 486, Pentuim 1 + 2.
In 1999 I got my Pentium III 500Mhz with screen, mouse and keyboard from Tesco for 1000 squid. Installed SUSE.
In one way I regret throwing away old PC hardware to make space, but at the same time dumpster diving is still an addictive pastime.
Thanks for the article.

I like the name, it says what it is. I have just installed it on an old PC with simple GT 710 Nvidia card with the hdmi hooked a receiver (for the sound) and then to the living room TV.
It Launches to Steam Big Picture Mode.
I have tried a few Steam games (native & proton) and they are working fine with Steam controllers.
