I'm so totally going to buy this. Looks like quality entertainment. Hopefully it's not too scary, cause I'm really not one for horrors. But I want to support such a project regardless. This is the kind of games we need indies for!

It doesn't say professional gamer, but gaming pro. The later is still vague because it doesn't really say anything more than you being a gamer and pro at something. Considering that this is a one man job, there's probably some need for some help on Linux specific issues. So he could possible need some help with things like dependencies (a common source of issues for new devs) or maybe some pointers in Linux specific pitfalls present in whichever engine he is using.

And that's exactly my point. What else could they mean by "professional", really. It couldnt be "professional gamer" they meant. So yeah, someone who's technically professional. And that, to me, does not bode well for the Linux version of this game - if it ever surfaces.

That's what I thought at first as well, but the wording is so strange if so. A professional gamer? Wtf is that? One that participates in e-sports? But yeah, you may be right.

... And if I'm correct it's just a day or two away from the Steam Summer Sales where it probably will be at that price anyway, so this is good timing to get some attention before it drowns in the sea of summer sales.

To be fair, that track record goes a long time back, long before Linux were even remotely relevant as a gaming platform. Personally I don't think we should judge any gaming company on what they did for Linux in the pre-Steam era, ergo before 2013.

This concern is very real. If the released title didn't sell enough to earn a decent profit (why else would SE dicontinue it) then will this company have enough strength to carry a development of such a big production alone?
