Thus game is easily the best coop game on Linux today. It's fantastic fun with a group of friends and a persistent and fully alterable world. It scratches my mmorpg itch until a proper pve mmorpg comes our way.
One of the biggest news for me personally in this patch is the ability to paint surfaces. I love personalization of stuff in games, and building stuff in this game is probably what I spend most time doing.
If you are like me and love exploring and making stuff I can't recommend this game enough - especially if you got some regular buddies to play with.

I think it's fair enough that they focus on PVP with this title - it just unfortunately renders me uninterested.
But too many MMORPGs over the history has flopped and gotten broken cause the devs tried too hard to cater to BOTH crowds. It is very, very VERY complicated cause the requirements are often fundamentally different and even work against each other.
Like, balancing. In a PVE game you want to become one powerful mother of a beast with area effects and shitloads of damage and madness. Unfair fights against a mob is just never an issue.
In PVP however, these things have to be meticulously balanced down to the single damage VS cost point. And that - often - leaves PVE gamers feel "gimped".
It really is a tricky balance because it's a balance between to quite different things.
So if they want to focus on PVP, then good for them - let's hope they make a great pvp experience out of it.
As for me, my wait for my kind of MMORPG on Linux continues...

I do prefer to purchase a complete game, but at least it's good to know it's gonna be a longer experience. Hopefully it's good too. :)

Quoting: razing32It is in Early Access and they only have the first couple of chapters.Early Access usually are usually not that much cheaper than the final price - but if it's sold as chapters things start to make more sense. Thanks for the info!

A release to Linux that's not a turn-based nor strategy, what's not to love about that? :P
But I have become very veary in regards to titles built on Unreal 4. It is my clear impression that they really struggle with getting it to work properly on Linux, as sad as that is. I do of course hope this is an exception, especially since it looks like a game totally up my alley.
EDIT: But wtf is up with that price? SO cheap? Is it a very short story? I mean, a proper full length story based game should cost much more than that?!

Could one of you Vive guys please report on how this game performs in VR?
Controls, fluidity, etc. Cause it sure looks like it could be fun in VR!

The vehicle handling looks a bit slow/clumsy, doesn't it? But yeah, I'd love a game with a concept like this, looks fundamentally fun!
