Looks Like STAR WARS Knights of the Old Republic II - The Sith Lords Is Coming To Linux

Quoting: Mountain ManOh, so the sucky one is being ported and not the vastly superior original. :(
I'd not go as far as calling the second for sucky, but I agree that the first were definitely the best one. Just like Fallout 3 were better than Obsidians work on New Vegas.

Quoting: aLgodot has been around already for a while... buy yay!

Has Godot proven itself capable of running a modern game yet? I see a lot of talk and a wall of screenshots on their homepage, but all unlinked and no references anywhere. Also those screens on their homepage - who one just must assume is built on Godot - all looks very simple, like Flash based games. But it's hard to tell.

These classics deserves a visual upgrade, just some texture upgrades would take us a long way.

This is my favourite arcade game on Linux, hands down. It doesn't get much better than this. Colourful, smooth, intense, looks magnificent.

Quoting: fleskThis game uses their in-house MMO engine, right, so maybe there's a higher chance we might see their other MMOs on Linux now too?
Very interesting point. Oh man I'd return to Anarchy Online in a heartbeat if a Linux client were made available.

It's a children's game, not to be mistaken for that totally awesome looking "Lego minecraft" kinda game.

Check out a few reviews. Still cool to have Lego arriving on Linux of course, but... Yeah. I'd rather have a "regular" Lego game to be honest.

That right there makes this sound like either a microsoft fan boy trolling Linux people, or it's just another stupid rumor.
Exactly, my machine is plenty fast enough to run Windows as well as Linux, the fact it runs Linux better than Windows is beside the point.

You don't own a Steam Machine. You own a PC running Linux.

That hurts, I don't care a lot about the market reasons, but to justify it with a technical reason....... I don't know. I hope that's not true, since nvidia performance its suppose to be good.

Seeing the requirements for the Oculus Rift I think this is true. If I remember correctly a gtx970 were the minimum(!) required.

After all, a huge amount of pixels are required to be rendered at a rock steady high pace (we talk about a fps requirement of minimum 90, wasn't it?).

I'm not worried that Valve will ditch Linux. I do however realize that I will have to shell out for a new gaming rig to be able to join the VR revolution. But believe you me, y'all: I sure will! And it SHALL run on Linux.
