I am considering getting Rogue Stormers [External Link]. It looks fun, and has co-op. But the reviews are not all that encouraging.

Oh man, Half-Life is what got me back into gaming. I played a bit of Half-Life when I was at school, but never had a chance to finish it. Didn't think I ever will. When it was released for Linux, I was like shut up and take my money!

I played through Half-Life, Blue Shift, Opposing Force, and Half-Life 2, and loved all of it. Half-Life: Source is also good stuff, but not really essential. Good time, good times.

It's not supposed to be an improvement over Xonotic or Warsow. It's supposed to be Quake 2. Which is perfect by definition.

Man, I don't think I can run it. My trusty Quadro K1100M may not have enough juice for it. I am tempted to try though. It's not a gaming card, but is supposedly more optimized for OpenGL. I managed to play Shadow of Mordor, Tomb Raider, and Alien: Isolation on it fairly comfortably, so maybe there is hope? Right? :S:

Until February 6th, you can get the popular indie puzzle-platformer 'FEZ' for PWYW at itch.io

I have to admit that I did not enjoy Fez very much. I found traveling between different maps confusing and tedious. The lack of any story or direction made me wonder what the point of the whole thing is? And in the end I just wanted to finish the game and move on. Not saying that it is a bad game, but it was not for me. Braid and In Between managed to capture my attention, but Fez did not.

What?! It is this really the same Operation Flashpoint that I played the crap out of back in the day? Man, that's awesome.

It doesn't look like Homefront: The Revolution is going to come to Linux any time soon

I don't think that "it's not a good game anyway" attitude is doing us as a community any good. If it was released for Linux, I am sure that it would have been celebrated as much as it is being bashed right now. I personally would play it. I may not like it in the end, but I do want to give it try.

Quoting: Guest... I like buying games for no other reason than to be buying them apparently lol.
I get you man. It's a compulsion. I look at a game and think, I need to have it, sure I will play it, at some point. Yeah right...

The interesting survival game 'Raft' has dropped Linux support

Making a Linux version takes willingness to do so. "We don't want to use Linux" is not a good excuse, but it is an honest one.

It seems interesting. I do enjoy a good story and horror. But it maybe a bit too point-and-click-ish for my taste. The only game of the genre that I utterly enjoyed was Beneath the Steel Sky.

But please do keep the obscure games coming. I am sure there are a few left waiting to be discovered. ;)

Seriously, the developers should tell us about their Linux ports. Otherwise the only way to find these games is randomly stumbling upon them. Or use countless hours looking for them. Which I do appreciate taking your time to do it, SangreDeReptil.
