Can you get refunds from Kickstarter? I always thought that sending money to Kickstarter is like flushing it down the drain.

I do think it is a good idea, and would urge you to go ahead and release it sooner than later. If you are not comfortable with going all the way right from the start, make it invite-only (Patreon reward, maybe?). I am sure than we have a few code monkeys (me including) around that would love to poke their fingers in your code. ;)

Quoting: liamdaweWell, that is entirely up to you, isn't it? You may not be entirely satisfied with your code, but it exists and it works, as proven by the fact that I am able to post this message here. Therefore it can be published.Quoting: LinasLooking forward to GOL codebase going open source. :)As mentioned though, that's a long way off.

Quoting: KeyrockI have no interest in beta testing... This is definitely a day 1 purchase for me...Heh, it's the exact opposite for me. I have limited interest in the game, but was considering to sign up out of patriotic duty to make Linux gaming great again. :)

Quoting: GuestI don’t get these developers/publishers who wait for people to tell them they want a linux version. They’ll sell 1 or 2% for Linux like everybody else…Very true. Unfortunately it's a very common way of thinking. All our customers use Windows therefore we only support Windows therefore all our customers use Windows. It's a circle that's not easy to break.

I was hoping they would add local co-op. Feels like a wasted opportunity having only single player mode.
