Sociable Soccer, from the designer of Sensible Soccer could see a Linux version with enough support

I won't buy it, but I hope the port happens and it sells like hotcakes on Linux. With a success case like this, we might draw the attention of Konami and have them port some PES game (which is still not my kind of game, but something I think Linux should have in its AAA portfolio).

Looks like GOG Galaxy won't come to Linux any time soon, as it's "not a priority"

F1 2017 could be on the way to Linux, as Feral Interactive want to see demand for it

Quoting: mcphailI will buy it if there's a chance I can run it, or in the future when I upgrade my hardware.
I'd advise you to check out the published system requirements [External Link] for F1 2017 before deciding on your purchase, remembering requirements for Linux are usually a bit higher than Windows for DirectX ports. That said, I run F1 2015 on my first-gen i5 with 8 GB of RAM and a GTX 650 Ti on mid-max settings without a problem, even though it's just above the minimum specs [External Link].

F1 2015 was indeed a risky bet. I mean, it was a poorly-reviewed niche game coming to a small OS. Basically the only thing it had going for it was that it was Linux's first F1 game and one of its first AAA racing games, so I hope they weren't counting on it being a huge success.

F1 2017 on Linux would still be a niche game coming to a small OS, but it's shaping up to be a great game, possibly the best in the franchise so far. I won't dare try to figure out how these factors balance out, but I hope Feral has taken all that into consideration when making their projections. Anyway, as someone who actually enjoyed F1 2015 a lot and plays it to this day, count me in as a customer!

The recent Linux port teaser from Feral Interactive seems to be coming to Mac first now

Maybe it was simply the Norsca DLC.
Nononononononononono, please be kidding! :'(

Quoting: manokaraMaybe it is actually Doom like some said, and Feral is doing a reverse psychology thing making a lot of people believe it's DoW... We'll never know.
TBH, they do like to troll us a little bit, and their teasers are rarely guessed this quickly, but I'm having a hard time seeing anything other than DoW 3.

Why are we still speculating after a comment on the very first page pointed us to this [External Link]?

F1 2016 won't be coming to Linux, as sales of F1 2015 weren't strong enough

Quoting: daconmat321As somebody who is a major fan of these games, I'll give some insight as to why F1 2015 never sold well and why not bringing F1 2016 to Linux is a bad call from Feral.
You make good points, though I wonder if cutting 2016 from Linux was a decision from Feral or Codemasters. Either way, I wish Feral would say something more about it so the community can know what to do to prevent this from happening in the future.

I wonder what the chances are of us getting F1 2017 would be. What would make Codemasters/Feral reconsider porting the franchise to Linux?
