The Pitchford strategy - just buy a RTX 6090 Ti bro or you're not a gamer.

Fedora Linux 44 will get improved NTSYNC enabling for Proton / Wine

The module is already built so anyone on Fedora can load it (which is what this proposal wants to do by default), that's what I do on Kinoite.

Reference for anyone who wants to do it:

One time load
sudo modprobe ntsync

Load on boot
echo ntsync | sudo tee /etc/modules-load.d/ntsync.conf

Check if module is loaded
lsmod | grep ntsync

Some game developers are far too shameless about generative AI use

planning to move ourselves further and further from unethical and unfair uses of AI.
Sure, sure. They know it's unethical and supposedly they don't want to do it that way but they did lol.

And the game doesn't even look good, all of the monsters are just different colored blobs with different numbers of holes.

They needed all of the stolen knowledge of the internet to create this garbage? I guess this is an extreme example of AI use making people dumber.

Nexus Mods is under new ownership

From the 'Chosen' website:
> We partner. We amplify. We conquer.

Is it just me or does their slogan sound kind of like "Embrace, Extend, Extinguish"?

Also, a lot of imagery of what seems to me like black holes which you could say only take and give nothing.

But on a serious note, this doesn't make sense to me. I understand being burned out and wanting to pass the torch, this part is completely fine. But transfering ownership (or selling?) to another corporation? Saying you want to be transparent but not even mentioning that new company? No actual introduction and you ask the community to support them?

I would've expected Robin to hand over the reigns to someone who has been involved with NexusMods for years (maybe one of "40 incredibly dedicated people, some of whom have been here for over 9 years") if he really wants the site to continue on the right path.

Raspberry Pi 5 gets a 16GB model now on sale

Additionally they've announced the new Carbon Removal Credits system, where you can pay $4 giving you "the option to mitigate the emissions associated with the manufacture and disposal of a modern Raspberry Pi" which they're doing in partnership with UNDO.
Is this actually legit or another one of those 'give us money so you can feel better about yourself' (or the company version 'pay us so you can market yourself as a green company')?

Thank god for this. People actually had to look at the game and had to think if a game is appropriate for them, the horror is over!

The game does require a PlayStation Network Account, so some regions will be unable to buy or play it.
Genius! They want to stop piracy but they also don't want to sell the game to me. I haven't pirated in years but they're not giving me any other choices.
Funny how many people forget that not playing a game is also an option.
Not writing stupid comments is also an option and you should take it.
