Just in time for mine that is coming soon.
I just expect not to die of anxiety until it comes

Heroic Games Launcher version 2.4.3 is another critical bug-fix release

Quoting: TermyI wouldn't be surprised if those changes are really intended to frustrate devs of alternate clients tbh...
In this case, they broke (or maybe disabled or put on maintenance) on of their CDNs. Legendary was not prepared to deal with that, I mean try other CDNs in case one is offline, so that caused the issue.
The login issue beforehand was because they changed how powerful the SID code was, so they removed permissions to it so it could not handle the login in practice anymore.

But yes, we need to be prepared for something else break again in the future, I expect it doesn't.

Heroic Games Launcher gets an emergency hotfix for Epic Games Store logins

It helped nothing that it was just after we have released the other hotfix, so we were trying to figure out if it was something on the Heroic side.
But then we confirmed with Legendary, Lutris, and Playnite as well.

Good that the fix was quick :)

Quoting: Perkeleen_VittupääNever tried it but looks pleasant! I wonder if this makes Lutris more irrelevant
I think they do somewhat different things.

Although I'd also say that for most people using Lutris, Bottles could be an easier-to-use replacement.
Anyway, aren't they collaborating or something? Like, Lutris starting to use Bottles for things? Or was that Heroic?
Yes, soon Heroic will be able to use Bottles to run the games.
So instead of choosing a prefix and this and that, just select a bottle from bottles and Heroic will run the game there.
Will be useful to play Ubisoft games that you got from Epic. Basically, just choose the bottle with Ubisoft Connect installed and the game will run, probably, ahaha.

Quoting: dubigrasuI don't like the fact that the install buttons are all shown and highlighted at once, for every game tile. They should be IMO highlighted only when you hover on them. It feels very aggressive on the eyes and and sort of disruptive when you browse the library.
Always showing the name of the game is a good move, but the rest of the buttons should remain hidden unless hover on them.
Yes, good point. We got more feedback like this and maybe on Beta 2 we will hide the buttons like you said, keeping the game name.

Quoting: PhlebiacIt just keeps getting better! I was trying to figure out if I had any overlap in my libraries (i.e. the same game in both EGS and GOG), but was confounded by the counts: All Games (572), Epic Games (293), GOG (278). Somehow the total is more than the sum of the individual counts?
Hmm, Heroic is probably counting some DLC as well. I know we filter DLCs from Epic but maybe not from GOG.
If you have time open an issue on GH so we can take a look at it

And about your second question, if they overlap we show two different cards since we treat as two different games now. For now what you can do is to hide the game that you don't want to be shown.
For instance, I have Absolute drift on GOG and on Epic, so I just hide Epic one since it is not native.

I am using the beta drivers and they are already pretty good. Just waiting for TKG to update their scripts now for me to update :)
Flavio there's no need to wait for the tkg update, you can install the tkg-script and choose the "custom" option in the installation menu. then just type the driver release number, it usually works just fine.
I tried that but it started to download the 470 version. But actually, the update showed up just after a few hours so it was fine :D
