amazing that out of the top ten there are only two proper AAA games (fallout 4 and diablo 4, I'm not including hd2 don't @ me), and most of the rest are specialized studios like Larian, Fromsoft, Supergiant who just keep on putting out absolute bangers without big publishers or live service nonsense.
With all the noise you'd think AAA is the dominant force in gaming, but just look at that list.

Quoting: prosoorI track this game to buy it but they always give discount of only 10%.Niche isn't always cheaper, but I feel your pain. It's 100% worth it though, they've been adding content for free for like a decade. I think is the the fourth UI they've made since I bought it, and each one is a little better than the last.
The game is interesting for a relatively small niche of nethack fans, so I don't understand the price.
It should cost less.

some notes on the mentioned games that I tried:
- Homeworld 3 multiplayer doesn't work on linux; same issue as HW remastered with instant desyncs.
- Rotwood is awesome, it's a Klei roguelike and it's going to be an absolute banger.
- Stormgate: works great! the return of the classic RTS genre? :O
- Backpack Battles: Great addictive game. Similar primary mechanic to Backpack Hero; both games are on itch with working demos.
- Dread Dawn: trash. Constant crashes, terrible English localization. It looks like "Project Zomboid but action instead of survival" but it's borked on linux and furthermore has terrible UI, dialogue, and plot. The visuals are nice though.

crazy that they keep updating this game but don't make basic changes to make the gameplay tolerable: right click to close windows, keyboard shortcuts, easier card stacking and movement. the entire mechanic is moving cards around and it just feels terrible to do.
No Man's Sky Omega Update arrives with a Free Weekend and lots new

Quoting: wvstolzingSo this is probably called 'Omega', due to the final 'choice in the Atlas Path Mission' that they say they've added -- though I wonder if it's also the final update for the game itself.nice catch about the atlas decision, I was also wondering since they've explicitly said it's not the last update and they have a 2024 roadmap. I'm most excited for a missions rework, missions were really terrible and repetitive I'm curious to see what they've done.

what a monster update... the map looks awesome, the animal models are great (the animal animations maybe could have used a few more frames but oh well), and as an connoisseur of video game rain I give the ambient sound update a thumbs up. Although it's a small change, making boars aggressive when they have young is a really nice touch, I love when devs add some dynamism to animal behaviour.
