I see the reviews on Gollum are terrible, but Daedalic has put out lots of nice games previously. Did Gollum take them out?

yeah it was a big hit to them and they closed their development studio; I'm sure it wasn't fun for them as a publisher either

I wonder at what point they made this decision... seems so strange to close up shop right after a good release. Maybe they didn't think the launch was as successful as it needed to be? or maybe they decided to close up a long time ago but wanted to push out this last game. I also wonder if it's related to them self-publishing instead of using the ill-fated Daedalic (of Gollum fame)

what a crazy world we live in that broforce gets an update in 2023. It's a great game. Last time I installed it was around 5 years ago and people immediately jumped into my public game - highly recommend giving it a try to anyone who hasn't already

Absolutely check it out. It's still the best hero shooter as far as I'm concerned. I also didn't play OW1 so I'm not sure how much better it was, but OW2 is great. It's true the monetization is pretty brutal (a little worse than Apex, if you have that as a comparison), but as long as you don't mind missing out on cool skins or most of the new PVE content, then you can spend nothing and have a great time. I'm not saying the review bombing isn't justified - people have a right to be mad - but at its core OW is a very well crafted gaming experience. You will have to face the fact that you're supporting Activision Blizzard though XD

Something like

avoids escaping every / in a path.

Edit: Okay, maybe not % since that is used by steam, but it's completely arbitrary.
