Nice, BoFIV is a great game. I only wish I could play it, but it's far too tragic for me to manage, I just turn into a sobbing mess.

Ubuntu 25.04 upgrades halted due to Kubuntu users getting a broken desktop

Beta users shouldn't feel responsible, if a thing requires pyqt6 (or anything else) and the system doesn't have that component installed by default and the package declaration doesn't include a 'requires pyqt6' statement; then the build system should error and the package shouldn't build. That's what RPM buildroots are for (and it's why the Arch wiki recommends building in a clean chroot).

New Steam Beta brings fixes for child accounts and improvements to download time estimates

Not necessarily 'right now', but I have noticed sometimes when I pop up the brightness/volume/performance/whatnot overview on the right-hand side of the screen; sometimes it is not scaled correctly and overflows the screen. As I tend to use it to see what time it is and what the battery level is at, it's a bit annoying when the top halves of the numbers are cut off.

Despite the jank, I love NWN2, I am really looking forward to the EE (even though I won't be able to run it because my potato can't even run NWNEE properly). Looking forward to trying Path of Evil, the Nihil trilogy, Dark Waters, the Wizard's Apprentice, and the Tales from the Lake of Sorrows series with whatever improvements we get.

Quoting: kaimanI hear that Mask of the Betrayer is supposed to be pretty good.
MotB has pretty decent writing and an interesting storyline. Way better than Hordes of the Underdark IMHO, I'd even consider it better than Throne of Bhaal (I'm singling out those two because epic level adventures are fairly rare).

Octodad, Kandria, Whispering Willows... yeah, there's some bangers in there.

WB close F.E.A.R. and Shadow of Mordor dev Monolith Productions and other studios

Oh dear. Monolith was one of the great studios from back in the day, Blood and Shogo were fantastic. It's a real landmark of gaming history what WB shut down.

the Kickoff launcher to go through applications had a tweak to only change category (Games, Graphics, Office etc) when you click on them, instead of flicking through constantly whenever you hover the mouse
Between this and defaulting to double-click to open files and folders we can now get RSI in only a quarter of the time it took before, great job KDE devs!

Quoting: "Talon1024"But I think Sony will probably hold the best of the best, such as Castlevania: Symphony of the Night and Astro Bot, as console exclusives.
SotN was ported to the Sega Saturn (though Japan-exclusive, but it did have Marie mode, which was neat) and to the xbox whatever, so I don't know how much say Sony would have over Konami if they decide to release SotN on Steam.

Bloodstained is amazing. It's one of the few games I kickstarted (Pillars of Eternity, Tyranny, and (unfortunately) Torment Tides of Numenera are the others), and it was worth every cent thrice over. I would, in fact, recommend you don't get it in this bundle but rather buy it at full price as it's so good that I want to see more like it.

Y'know, I kinda like Capcom (as much as I can like a AAA dev/publisher). They are far from perfect, but this kinda thing is nice to see.
