Back to Down Under? I'll have to replay BaSK to refresh my memory of the plot, all I remember is that Joey is an absolute bro.

The emulation and media player front-end RetroArch just had a huge new release

Quoting: NezchanHave they finally made it so you can install and configure it without at least a four-year degree on the subject? Every time I've tried Retroarch, that's been the most painful experience of all.

EDIT: Aaaaaaparently not. Still no real explanation of the "cores" thing, and unclear as to how to get them, at least under Linux. The FAQ says to go to the Online Updater and choose "Update Cores". That option, unsurprisingly, doesn't exist. So short of searching all over the internet, there's no clear way for a new user to know what to do.
Yeah, the standard install recommends just using the cores that are in your repositories. It can be changed in the settings:

menu_show_core_updater = "true"

I hope the playlist sanitizer is included, it's a neat feature.

Mordor 2: Darkness Awakening. It's an oldie, but a goldie.

Underworld Ascendant for Linux still coming, should be this month

From all I've seen of the game it looks absolutely bitching. Can't wait to give it a try. Only too bad EA wants to keep the Ultima franchise dead.

"To be honest, I was debating on going into the code and making the change myself considering KDE is open source," Penner said.
This guy, man... he had a good idea, but threw it all away for his 5 minutes in the limelight.

In any case, you'd think that after "Bad Taste" (https://nvd.nist.gov/vuln/detail/CVE-2017-11421 [External Link]) DE devs would've learned to not allow code execution in thumbnail display. I'll grant that Bad Taste was a bit more specific than the one KDE has at the moment.

Ultima Underworld 2. I started a game of UU1 before I remembered how much better UU2 is. Also started another run of Wizardry VI (to be carried on through to 8), which gives me all the feels.

Well anyway, if reviews of new releases of distros are gonna be a thing now, I'm looking forward to the review of the next release of Fedora.

kernel 4.15
...Wait what? 5.2 is stable and 4.19 is long-term support. The LTS before 4.19 was 4.14. Why is Mint on 4.15? This doesn't make any sense.

Also, outdated drivers make for poor gaming.

Looks like supporting multiple platforms has been worth it for Rings of Saturn

Before we cheer too much, what're their total numbers like? If Linux is doing very well I think their numbers may be kinda low. Not to be too much of a downer, it means indies do have an incentive to support Linux if they can do so without having to mess too much with porting.

Protip for those who find using the left touchpad as a D-Pad to be awkward: try setting it to Radial Menu, with the first 8 inputs being D-Pad Up, Up & Right, Right, Right & Down, Down, Down & Left, Left, Left & Up; with activation on always. Though it may not work for inputting beat 'em up moves.
