You are aware you can donate to a kickstarter without getting a game depending on a tier? I gave $5 to many kickstarter, which is usually not enough to get any game.

Quoting: liamdaweI'm also going to mention that Kickstarting a game is nothing close to an investment. It's much more like a pre-order, only you're pre-ordering something that 90% of the time doesn't actually exist.Which is the very definition of an investment.....

Quoting: wojtek88I know this attitude is not right but I hope this studio will fail. They lied to people who paid for this game on Kickstarter and they never stopped to lie. This game was meant to be released "just after Mac version". Mac version had day one release, Divinity Original Sin is not on Linux over 15 months after release on Mac.Stop being an idiot. They didn't lie about anything. They underestimated how much work the Linux version was going to be. Everybody who donated for the Linux version can still ask for a refund.
I really admire honesty and clear rules. They do not provide it. Sorry for such a comment here, but this is how I feel regarding this studio.
I'm not saying that I will never buy this game, but I do not feel like buying this game will support Linux gaming so I will get it on some cheap sale.

Quoting: MaelraneMäh... well, it doesn't look too bad, but that's only the graphics. Apart from that I saw an unbelievably dumb AI. I'm not really hyped. I've played too many awful open world games that never delivered in the past.Besides F.E.A.R, what other FPS game has good AI? Because it certainly doesn't look worse than other FPS when it comes to AI.
Reminds me of Watch Dogs. I'll wait and see and hope that I am wrong and the AI is going to be awesome. Else, no money from my side.

Considering a 560 ti can get around 50 fps on ultra on windows for this game, I find those results VERY disappointing. Judging by those results, I won't be able to max this game on ultra with my 660ti even though it's possible on the windows version.

Quoting: dubigrasuSimple. Since they are native ports, they can be optimized further down the road. There are many native games on Linux that have the same performance on windows. Wrappers like eON, on the other hand, always have a performance loss. This is a known fact.Quoting: BillNyeTheBlackGuyAt this point even our beloved Aspyr and Feral are delivering ports that are performing worse than in Windows.Quoting: dubigrasuFFS people, Feral, Aspyr, Icculus and all porters combined they will never bring all the games we want to Linux.I don't hate them, but they should REALLY stick to porting games that aren't as graphic intensive. Linux certainly doesn't need games that run worse than their there Linux counterparts on the modern hardware. At least for games like Infinite and The Line modern hardware can run those games at 60 fps no matter what.
There's a huge (and I mean HUGE) pool of Windows games waiting to be ported and not enough porters to go around.
And here are these VP guys lending a hand and you're pissing all over them.
Would you prefer them to stick to only less graphic intensive games?
