Quoting: melkemindAnother problems is the sub-standard performance of Unity games on Linux. Wouldn't a Linux developer choose an engine that runs better on their own platform?Unity 5 performance is actually ok on Linux. Hate of Fate for examples runs perfectly on my aging hardware

I'm not a big fan of beamdog's NPCs and story addictions in the Enhance Edition games, but they were serviceable I guess.
I am looking forward to this expansion though. Chris Avellone (who created Planescape Torment and KoTOR 2: Sith Lords) is actually giving them feedback this time. So, the story may turn out interesting.

Quoting: liamdaweThat's the problem, I don't really enjoy puzzle games all that much, even if it does have fancy pants graphics.Seriously, play the demo on the steam page. It will give you go idea of what the gameplay and story is like. It should give you clear indicator on whether you like the game or not.

I kept getting stuck in the game, so I just uninstalled it and went back to playing The Talos Principle. IMO, pacing plays a huge part in puzzle games. If you're just going to throw a whole bunch of hard puzzles in the beginning and not ease me into it then I'm going to lose interest.

Quoting: MGOidFor indie games like Geometry Wars and Outland, my notebook is already struggling to maintain 60fps in low settings at 720p. Only really simple games like Bleed can be played at 60fps all the time.I don't see a problem with 720p 30fps, considering that most console gamers play their games at 30fps. I think this machine shouldn't have any problems reaching that goal.

Nice. IMO, KoToR II was the better than the first game, even without the fan fixes. I hope we get to see some other obsidian titles come to linux, such as Neverwinter Nights 2 and Fallout New Vegas.

From what I played on the Windows version, the game is glitchy as heck. It's a GOOD thing they delayed the Linux release.

I have no doubt that SteamOS will get more AAA games thanks to Engines like Unreal 4 having native linux support now. A LOT of the new AAA games are built using Unreal 4. It's just a matter of Valve convincing developers to make games for the platform.
