BATTLETECH will only be coming to Linux post-launch, along with other features

This was my most expected release for 2018 and it just turned into my biggest disappointment for this year. (it's only been a couple of weeks, but you get my point)
I do hope they get their stuff straight and deliver it on linux sometime!

The new Entroware Hybris could make a reasonable Linux gaming laptop

I'm thinking of getting a new top performance laptop on the 15' size. Any of you tried an Entroware before? I'm thinking of a System76, but it's quite far to ship to Portugal and it only has US keyboard. Since they are all Clevo computers, it should be possible to change the keyboard though.
Any thoughts on these "Linux" brands regarding hardware compatibility?

System76 have refreshed their most powerful Linux laptops now with 7th Gen Intel CPUs

This a hot topic for me. I have a new Clevo laptop that is just giving me a lot of linux related problems, so buying a similar "do it yourself" laptop is not the same at all as having a fully supported linux laptop.
The reason I still didn't bought one is because they sell it only with US keyboard and I need a portuguese keyboard which has more keys.

Does anyone knows if it's possible to replace the keyboard with a another clevo keyboard?
I know a company here who works with Clevo so they should be able to replace it if possible at all.

Some thoughts on the Shadowrun series

Great article. I love all 3 games and I had very different experiences with each one since I decided to play completely different characters. Like some of you I also tend to create a clear background for the character and stick to it throughout the story.
I played a bit of the pen and paper RPG but what I'm really looking forward is the Battletech game which I'm a big fan of.

A note about the sources of our information and how we really don't rip others off

This is my only source of gaming information so I really appreciate that you cover important issues and news, even if they were covered before somewhere else. I don't read somewhere else!
And I feel you always mention your sources and link to them. I even discovered most of these other places, that I don't visit regularly, because of GOL.
Keep up the great work!

ShaoluRandom idea: What if there were a tasteful set badges or something that could be shared with Colossal Order and others? It would help these games and this site get recognition at the same time.

We had Sobkas working on a congrats image, but he's been busy with stuff and it wasn't final.

We may have some sort of badges or something next year.

I think badges would be great to give to all the top spots in each category. And maybe a special GOTY page/section here in the website. It could have a list of the winners for every year, some pictures and such.

GOL GOTY Awards Coming Up, What Do You Want To See?
17 November 2015 at 5:15 pm UTC Likes: 1

I think categories is the best and genre can be a good way to do it. Its nice to have a top 3 on each genre that you know you can pick up if you want to try out a new game. I always found it strange to have a FPS competing with a platformer or a strategy game for example.
But at the same time there can be general awards: best story, best gameplay, best graphics, best sound, best music, best port, best technical quality, best day one linux release, "best game I never played", etc... and of course LINUX GAME OF THE YEAR!
It would be nice to have other awards for best porter, best store, best linux support, etc...

This will be exciting!
