RUNNING WITH RIFLES patch released along with the huge PACIFIC DLC
28 Oct 2017 at 12:11 am UTC

Quoting: NaibI keep meaning to try this as bits of it remind me of cannonFodder but well ... disappointment is always a risk
I love cannon fodder. Still play it with an amiga emulator. I also love this game, but never thought about it being similar to cannon fodder until you just mentioned it. It is very different to cannon fodder while having some similarities.

Anyways you can download the demo on steam and try it. The "Download Demo" button is right above where it shows single player, multiplayer, coop ect. Or this should work too http://store.steampowered.com/widget/288330 [External Link]

F1 2017 is officially coming to Linux, releasing November 2nd from Feral Interactive
27 Oct 2017 at 11:48 pm UTC

Awesome. 3 months late though. Going have lost a good chunk of sales. I have 2 friends that couldn't wait and are now playing it in windows already. I hope they sell enough to keep porting F1 in the future.

F1 2016 won't be coming to Linux, as sales of F1 2015 weren't strong enough
4 Apr 2017 at 12:46 am UTC

Real Shame :( Codemasters F1 games are awesome. Porting 2015 was a Bad choice though. It was missing soooo many features that we come to expect from the series. So a lot of people like me just skipped it. Even though it was ported to linux, there was no way I was ever going to buy it that year. I own all the others. The fact it was released so late made it even worse, as 2016 was just around the corner.

This is 1 series that keeps me and alot of my friends needing windows. Ofcoarse we hoped 2016 would be ported, but we already own it. Although we would of held off a little if it was announced to be on linux within a a short time after the windows release.

Please Port a worthy version of F1 either day 1 or very soon after and see what happens.

Unity 5.6 will be the first version of Unity to have SDL for Linux

About time. Should of been using it from the start. Would of eliminated tons of problems they had with the engine on linux. Most of it seems fixed now already. I assume Unity will now have proper vsync support aswell.

Transmissions Element 120, a stand-alone game set in the Half-Life universe is now on Steam for Linux
16 Jun 2016 at 1:45 pm UTC

Quoting: KelsI'll have to give it a miss, sadly. Something about the Half-Life series that really sets off my simulation sickness, even when set at 90 FoV. Which is weird, because almost every other game is fine for me at that setting.
Although I can play it I agree that there is something off with the field of view. It seems really high even when set as low as possible.

Defender's Quest DX launching this month, removes Adobe Air and upgrades rather a lot
5 Jun 2016 at 2:10 am UTC

Awesome, I love this game. I bought it to play in linux only to find it needed adobe air (didn't read :( ) I refuse to install air so I spent many hours playing it in windows. This is good news indeed.

Steam's latest Hardware Survey is out, shows Linux at 0.84%
2 Jun 2016 at 2:20 am UTC

I have 5 Linux machines in the house, and each one gets the survey approximately once every 3 months. No hardware changes or os changes. I found that my main gaming machine almost never got the at first. The only difference with that machine was it auto started steam minimized to the tray icon on boot up. After turning that off it started getting them. You also don't get the pop up with the news feed thing steam has if you have it auto start.

Edit: I have recently started dual booting the main gaming rig. And it now gets the survey in both windows and linux once every 3 months aprox.
