Quoting: rea987It is quite interesting and sad to not to see id Software in Khronos Group while Blizzard and EA are there...
Dice was present though as far as I know they are responsible for work at frostbite.

Quoting: MaokeiTerrible community dota 2 perhaps, but atleast in my experience League of legends was even worst these types of moba's bring out the worst in people at times even though they are fun too play.
So maybe you should try other MOBA for Linux with better community (in my opinion) like HoN and Strife.
Played HoN a metric ton when it was the moba to play but shifted over to dota 2, hon was quite terrible in my experience but perhaps it's better now :P Strife is by far the most rage free moba in my experience though.

I've had few bad experiences in Dota 2, have you tried playing with friends instead of random strangers?
I still enjoy playing dota 2, at times though there's no doubt that some player totally ruin the mood in the game.

Valve's Newest Controller Design Looks Solid

Quoting: michaI think adding an analog stick was very bad decision. They should just replace that one with a D-pad as they had it before. I mean either the (left) touch area is superior to the analog stick in which case you don't need one or it isn't and I will use my Dual Shock 4 (which works with Linux out of the box when plugged in) since I much prefer to symmetric sticks. Well, we'll see maybe my intuition is wrong but currently I'm much less impressed compared to the first two iterations of its design.
I do agree with that the analog stick is kind good and bad but id rather not have it but I understand why they did it, im guessing that it has allot to do with that many games are made to work great with the xbox 360 controller and they want to fill that and do something different at the same time that sets the valve controller apart from the rest.

If you are supposed to use the controller in the couch where is the 3,5 mm jack for the headset? I think allot of people that are coming over from the console side of things are going to expect something to fill that void without too much hazzle.
