Quoting: dubigrasuI feel this was totally lacking some PR person making it a bit... nicer.Quoting: DribbleondoWhat we got was boilerplate PR speak, and nothing more.I think it was indeed PR speak (I personally believe that this is temporary and eventually they'll make it work), but it was just at the border of PR speak, and right behind/between the words they purposely left a hint of annoyed menace.

Quoting: slaapliedjeBut seeing as how I had to hex edit a file to get the resolution right, I still have that one installed...Doesn't Steam preserve edited files? I think so...

What might be the game of the year is running better on Linux than on Windows?
Is that true?
If yes, that would be very close to the wildest dreams some of us were having for a very long time!?!
An actual gaming-related reason to change the OS?

Quoting: PhiladelphusUp to 27% for me, with just Ultimate Chicken Horse andYou can see it e.g. on the store page, Steam Deck compatibility, more information => Valve is working on the compatibility. (I wonder what that might mean. I would understand better if the devs are working on improved Deck compatibility of native games.)Supporting* Surviving Mars unsupported. I'm hoping UCH gets supported soon, since literally one of the first things that popped into my head upon hearing the Steam Deck announcement was taking it around to friends' houses with a few controllers to play a few rounds on the TV as a party game. It runs natively (and fine) on Linux and already handles controllers, so I'm not sure what the hold up might be, but at least the devs have continued to support it quite well so I hope it'll be fixed soon.
*Genuine Freudian slip!

Quoting: EikeI'm looking forward to see the coloured section grow. :)14% playable+ now, rising almost every day. 4 games "Unsupported", two of which should go to at least Playable later on (Outlast and Surviving Mars).

Quoting: Cmdr_IrasWhile no means an expert in battery technology I do work with backup power supplies and we offer Li-ion batteries as an option, and it is pretty standard for these batteries to charge to 100% then self discharge to 80% in order to maintain longevity; in our case this happens over the course of a month but were talking about 100-250Ahr blocks here that are permanently connected to a power supply.I guess the usual way to cope would be to... adapt the number being displayed a little bit. Like, showing "100%" when it actually dropped to 97% already.

Feral Interactive have no plans to update their Linux ports for Steam Deck

But I sure still have more native Linux games totally worth my time than I have actual time to play.
Four big CRPGs alone that are still unplayed, 4 * 50 hours at least, which amounts to many months for me, four new WadjetEye Games ports, four unplayed Zachtronic games, ...

Quoting: elmapulOf course you're right that games should be worth one's time.Quoting: Alm888Rest assured, I have more than I will ever be able to finish. All Linux native. Most on GOG, some on itch.io or Humble. Had not to "pirate" a game in a long time (sinse 2012 at least). Oh, and I have exactly 0 (zero) "Feral games" on my Steal library because… I have no Steam library. :tongue:its not about the ammount of games, but the time you spend playing then, its worth?
there are tons of free games for android that, while they are free, they dont worth our time.
time is the most important thing in life, money? you can won on lotery and get rich and never need to worry about it again, but time? you cant recover that, and you only realize when its too late.
yes, i'm talking about myself.
