DRAG certainly seems like a promising upcoming racing game

Quoting: DuncOh, yes. :woot: First impressions are everything I hoped they'd be. I love the quick, “just one more go” old-school arcade feel to it. And I'm amazed how well it runs on my no-longer-cutting-edge rig. Handling is slightly strange, I'll agree. But it may just be the car.

So come on then... times. Anyone manage a sub-30s run yet? I did a 30.4 and it nearly killed me.
I'm not a racer and fought hard to at least get under 32, but I also had this feeling of “just one more go”. :)

An update on Easy Anti-Cheat support for Wine and Proton

Quoting: Liam DaweI have now made "unofficial" bold as well as italic to make it stand out more but it was clear if people actually read that properly.
I missread that as "unofficial information on progress of work" instead of "information on progress of unofficial work".

I understand your annoyance with people not reading or understanding what you've already written, but I still think it's worth noting that this is reverse engineering stuff without any help of Epic with more than a word.

Sad to hear this, but still amazing news!
Very interesting, thanks for pointing out!

This should be added to the article IMHO.

Quoting: g000hI get quite irritated by the fact that the likes of Garry Newman and Tim Sweeney and other game developers suggest that the approx 1% Linux gaming market-share would in any way influence the amount of cheaters on their games.

Statistically speaking, if 10% of Linux users were cheating, then that is 10% of the 1% population, i.e. 0.1% of gamers. Comparatively, if you have 10% Windows users cheating, then that is 10% of the 99% population, i.e. 9.9% of the gamers. Even if every Linux gamer was cheating (*ridiculous*) then that would only amount to a max of 1% of the population.
If I as a Windows user would want to cheat, and it were hard on Windows and easy on Linux, I might just dual boot. I guess that's what they're fearing, not the 0.whatever%.

Quoting: WJMazepasI dont think so. I met a lot of old people in college and work that talk about all PCs that they used back in the times, and only a few use linux this days. I believe that a lot of then still have the ideia that linux its really complicated like those days
This doesn't suprise me. I just fear that among younger people, the result would be even (way) worse...

I played the demo through. Audio was bit choppy, but otherwise it worked fine.
I should have been more specific: I did get the download dialog, but nothing more.
Downloads now!

Quoting: razing32If those devices still work after all that time i am more than impresse they still work.
I suspected some people boguht them out of nostalgia/collection status.
Both happens of course. My Sony MSX-1 from '84 was all fine when I tried last time. (It was so modern that it already had SCART while my TV was so outdated that it still had SCART, so I didn't even have a connection problem :-D ). Impressive indeed!

No Linux specific questions this time?
Still, love to read interviews!
