If you're into point and click and didn't yet play it: Get it.
Edna is a labour of love the creator did in university.
I was at Daedalic's once and they said, it wouldn't be commercially feasible to put so much work in such a game under normal cirumstances.

Quoting: subI need to take a look...Quoting: EikeI did play the very first version of Half-Life back then, read that it's got incredible realistic physics, and managed to have the first box I met stuck in the wall. Quit this game, "What sh*t is this!?!" :D Well, not one of my best decisions. You're talking HL2 right?
HL1 had nothing that could be called physics engine that I'm aware of. :)

Quoting: fractalThe gameplay is still very solid, but unfortunately, none of these will replicate the jaw drop of me and my cousins booting up HL2 circa 2004-2005 and then spending 30 minutes at the starting train station just throwing mundane objects around and drooling at graphics.Sure, that's lost.

Quoting: keanThat is not a problem for me, I have 70+ AMD cards for mining, I have no issue with BIOS tinkering :D Only the driver issues I had in the past.Ah, as you mention mining: I sold my old hardware on eBay (for the first time) and wondered why anybody would want my very old GTX660. Do you happen to know if it's useful for mining?

Quoting: Liam DaweThis is why I'm excited for it. I like retro-styled stuff, but not when it's an an actual old game where even the interface and controls and bad. Games have come a long way :)Absolutely. At least for my 80ies youth, it's best for most games to remember them dearly instead of revisiting them.

System Shock is, like Half-Life 1 & 2, an important game I've missed back then. I still wonder if I should visit them in their enhanced versions. I'm somewhat allergic to outdated 3D graphics.

It's like asking which distribution is the best, just with two sides instead of a dozen. ;)
(My experiences with the Nvidia driver are very good. Can't say anything about the AMD side of things.)

Quoting: keanHow is the driver support? I am planning to upgrade my CPU and GPU (1600 and 1060) to a 3600/3600x and 5600XT. I had issues in the past with my RX 480, but never with the 1060. Would you recommend switching back to AMD?Opinions vary on this. :D

I agree Proton is a problem for native Linux gaming, but we shouldn't pretend it's the only one.

Quoting: antisolWell, for example, we got Papers, Please on Linux, but not Return Of Obra Dinn. I'd bet that proton is the reason why.... or too much hazzle and too few bucks.
