Quoting: LinasIn Denmark I see people using Linux on their laptops from time to time. MacBooks are very popular. But I don't think I have ever seen a Chromebook, either in use, or in a shop. Not anywhere in Northern or Eastern Europe for that matter.
Statcounter seems to disagree:

I did not know that, but they still have to get permissions obviously? Would be great if they could get CAPCOM and RockStar.
They do need to get permissions, the source code, and maybe a little help to get it all up (maybe stuff is missing to get the game together or something). But I still wonder why not more companies do that, given it's very little to no financial risc for them.

I don't understand the motivation at Google for this either, but maybe it might motivate them to, erm, motivate the developers releasing on Stadia to make native Linux versions as well?

PS: I still find it interesting that Chromebooks are near to nonexisting in Germany, while seemingly a big thing at some places (namely the US)...

DOOM Eternal coming to Stadia on March 20, plus other Stadia news - a round-up

Having my own PC is of high value to me, too. But we have to be clear about the arguments: My bet is (I didn't calculate either) that Stadia is cheaper, and by a large margin, if you don't have special other needs (video editing or whatever). It's to me like saying "Linux is better in every respect!" It's not, it's just the better system for me and my needs.
