Quoting: GuestSo many changes, nice :-) Didn't expect that IPv6 support is new though! When I was in university, they told us that IPv4 is running short of addresses and the new IPv6 will fix that.

An update on the situation with NVIDIA graphical distortions in some Unity games on Linux

NVIDIA said they don't want to make specific application profiles, however if the community is willing to create them they could ship them with their driver to give a better experience out of the box.Sounds like something that should be setup on Github (or the like) today. (I won't have the time, though.)

Quoting: Code ArtisanBy enforcing open-source through GPLv2, Linux makes anti-cheats impossible to be effective. You will never see something like ESEA on linux. That's why we can't have proprietary drivers, either. Oh, wait...

Quoting: einherjarHmm, sad. Without Multiplayer Games working Cross-Plattform, Linux is o Nogo for nearly every gamer....I'd bet that most players aren't playing online multiplayer to begin with. (I read even Call of Duty has more offline than online players.)
Unity have changed their terms of service, which has essentially blocked SpatialOS and streaming services

Quoting: CFWhitmanThe reason they can do this is because streaming a game basically distributes a copy to whomever is playing it (though the copy technically is on the server, an image of it is transmitted to the user). Since Unity have to license redistribution rights to all developers who use the engine, they can control the terms of that redistribution. Of course, it's quite possible that outside companies could continue to use an older version which doesn't have the restrictive terms, though I'm sure that Unity would try to prevent this. When using streaming, shouldn't the client only need minimal software, comparable to what is in the Steam Link?
An updated Steam Client is out, should be more responsive when downloading

Leaving Lyndow was a little disappointment for me.
I was prepeared that it's short, but it felt... empty.

Quoting: wvstolzingPerhaps as a case in point: The only Steam review I ever wrote was for TIS-100, and it went something like '... if you're intrigued by this, then BUY NOW!!!'Yes, another game where you see at a glance if you will like it or not (before buying, that is).
