Quoting: YoRHa-2BThis game has one of the most inefficient renderers I've seen in my life. It's deferred, and for its lighting pass it renders spheres with hundreds of polygons, which results in lots and lots of triangles that only cover one or two pixels. Goodbye performance.
What are you doing with games? Debugging them just for fun or professional?

Quoting: YoRHa-2BAnd it doesn't stop there. While the game itself uses D3D11, when starting the game, it actually initializes and renders one black frame using D3D9 (!). Just to instantly destroy the D3D9 device again and switch over to 11. For absolutely no goddamn reason. This is even more stupid than some Japanese games I had to deal with.
Sounds like some leftover demo lines copied from MSDN. ;)

7 Billion Humans from Tomorrow Corporation is now out and it's fantastic

Quoting: no_information_hereI am generally very patient and wait for sales. However, this was a day-1 purchase from me. Tomorrow Corporation has only ever made brilliant games. This one is no different!

I played up to level 26 is one sitting. I missed some very tricky "optional challenges," though!
I did all optimizations in Human Resource Machine, but I'm not sure I can do here... :S:

The game is just great, as all their games, and it runs flawlessly on Linux on day one. They deserve our money.

Quoting: toorNote that if you buy it from the humble bundle widget on their website, you get both the DRM-free version and steam keys, and a copy of Human resource machine.
You also get Human Resource Machine when buying on Steam. As I already had it, I got a Steam gift lying around now. Anybody wants it? (Restricted to accounts already existing yesterday.)

I'd rather shoot myself in the foot and would probably gain more from the pain than from playing this ... "game".
Quoting: PatolaBig frustrations == even bigger sense of pride and accomplishment™ when you overcome them. It's like releasing your inner bipolar disorder.
I do understanding doing something hard and thus being so proud when having beaten it. I just need some advancement, I guess. And new obstacles, not the same over and over again. My example would be Portal Stories: MEL in hard mode. Man, how I was hating it - and loved to beat it! But starting from beginning every time sounds too frustrating for me. (Although it was the only thing we had back in the 80ies... ;) )

Installing a package that should be called "libxcursor1 [External Link]" might help?

EXAPUNKS from Zachtronics is now out in Early Access

Quoting: tuubiThe only sane decision is to wait until a game is finished before you pay for it. I do realise Zachtronics is a safe bet, but paying for an unfinished product seems a bit counterproductive.
I'm not bold kind of person, but this bet would be safe enough for me. :)
