Quoting: BeamboomWell, I do have similar thoughts about a good deal of those releases using the "retro" label as a shield against criticism. The game mechanics/"ai" here - all judged by the video - looks like one of the games I wrote as a hobby project while still in school. I think we are too forgiving as soon as someone take claim of the "retro" label.
Where did you release those?

Quoting: BotonoskiI don't understand Life is Strange, or rather I don't understand why its so praised. I went to an Oregon university, I don't understand why anyone would want to experience that virtually with all the worst aspects of it magnified.
Because the game lets you break out?
(Or because it was decades ago?)

Quoting: Projectile VomitAlready bought it! I've been building my rogue with a splash of dex fighter for a couple weeks now! I've missed playing this game. I haven't found a way to go to full screen from windowed mode, yet.
You desktop environment might do that for you. KDE has (surprisingly many) options to force Windows geometry, e.g.

Ok... not in my interface... "yet"... I suppose... ^^'
I found today that this part of the interface is vanishing when you apply a filter - like "Linux"...

*edit* ... aaand (I think this has been added later on, Valve seems to listen...) there's a compact view hidden behind the cog, giving me 10 items at a glance. Yay!

  • Don't kiss, fuck, or do anything in-between when monsters and murderers are about.

  • You'll be happy to hear you don't have to break this rule (among others). ;)

No, seriously: If you manage not to overthink it, you might have a great time.

Quoting: Comandante ÑoñardoI'm 40 years old and I can tell you that Vr was a commercial failure, is a commercial failure and will be a commercial failure, because of the high price of the hardware needed, and because the human is an animal of habits...
    Aha.

I'm 45 years old and I can tell you that VR was a commercial failure, but will be used more in future, as the prices of the hardware needed will drop, and because the human is an animal which would have died off long ago if it wouldn't be as adaptable as it is...
