You're overdoing it, boys and girls!
The Feral radar is supposed to be some fun, not some fight.

Quoting: liamdaweGuys, keep it in English please.
Sorry. ;)
I explained what I meant with my previous English comment.
EU law prohibits removing a software licence when you bought (or got gifted) software, be it digital or on disc (if it has not been explicitly only been rented).

Quoting: EikeHe wanted to express that he considers posession of a game at Steam no posession.
At least in my country, the acquiring of software cannot be reversed by the seller/gifter, so I consider this posession.
And the whole now in German, please.

Quoting: throghTo be honest: The game itself is not free available! There is just nothing to pay for renting another entry within the account, which itself is also not the own property. Valve is just so "kind" giving a defined amount of space on their servers, including the database.
You are to late, the offer is over.

Quoting: GuestDebian "stable" ( it has 3 times more bugs than testing and will break when using packages from other Debian or Ubuntu repositories) is for headless servers.
Debian stable has more bugs then testing at the moment, because it's in freeze. Fixes don't get in automatically at the moment.

Debian stable is all fine for my gaming rig. I'm sometimes mixing in newer packages from testing, unstable or even experimental (nvidia drivers), and it works all fine.

Quoting: GuestThat would need (very roughly) 50 people working together full time for 3 years. This will not happen as a hobby project.
How about 500 working in spare time?

Quoting: cRaZy-bisCuiTYou want an Open Source AAA game with Open World etc? Why? Just why?
Because it's fun. And because it's something missing in the open source world.

Quoting: cRaZy-bisCuiTGo for a commercial game and have fun with it!
I do, I do.

Quoting: cRaZy-bisCuiTAAA games do cost millions of Euro, developers spend thousands of hours programming and designing those.

So do other things done as open source, including but not limited to the development of kernels, web servers, browsers and office suites.

Quoting: cRaZy-bisCuiTHow should that be done in spare time?
I don't know if it's realistic. Probably lots of people would need to work together.

Quoting: cRaZy-bisCuiTI do love those engines for existing games if they're done well. "Return to the Roots" (Siedler 2 remake) is one example of a very well working engine. I haven't checked out anything Tomb Raider related yet.
I don't get rewriting something that already exists and already works.

Quoting: cRaZy-bisCuiTAlso, you might only like those games of you have played them in your childhood. It's not meant for modern times kiddies. (;
I might be too old for those modern games like Siedler or Tomb Raider... :p

Quoting: razing32Do you mean something like the classic isometric games ?
Or something like the Bethesda games were you have a FPS/Third person shooter with RPG elements to spice things up ?
If the community would come up with something like Wasteland 2, I'd appreciate (and play!) this, too.
But I was dreaming of the full modern monty, huge open world, "next-gen" graphics, FPS/third-person view.
"Open source triple AAA", if you want.
