The circuit building simulator 'SHENZHEN I/O' gets 'overwhelmingly positive' reviews from Steam users

Quoting: Guest"Overwhelmingly positive" means nothing, and this is another proof.
"Overwhelmingly positive" IMHO means that the game does very well on delivering what it promises. Thus, very positive reviews for a pixel art rogue-like means nothing to me, while the same for a programmer's game means it very probably will be fun for me - which turned out true for TIS-100 and Human Ressource Machine (and I am very optimistic for Shenzen I/O).

I totally will buy and play this! ...after having (started and) finished Infinifactory. :)

I always wonder how hard such games are for non-programmers.
I think Human Ressource Machine should be possible, while TIS-100 is probably too hard (and abstract).
I enjoyed both.

Quern - Undying Thoughts, a puzzle game inspired by Myst released day-1 on Linux

Quoting: KeyrockI've been playing this for about a week and I'm enjoying it quite a bit. If you've ever played Myst then you know what to expect; there are strange machines and items that you need to figure out on your own how they work and what their purpose is. There are hints for all the puzzles scattered about but they're often hidden and even when the hints are out in the open you need to figure out on your own what they mean and which puzzle they correspond to.
Thanks for the warning! ;)

That looks really nice, and I'm into puzzling, but what's detering me from it is the reference to Myst...

What one game would blow your mind if it came to Linux & SteamOS?

Clearly tells that while IMHO, Linux gaming is in a good state, we're still missing stuff.

If I get a second shot, ignoring Bethesda for once, I'd be really curious for Kingdom Come: Deliverance.

Quoting: reaVerExcept the internet was designed for precisely that. This is not a dating site and most AAA games are not dating sims, we really do not care what gender/sexuality/blablabla the person on the other side of the wire has. Heck, we don't even care what the person looks like.

The person in question has no right to berate people(/gamers/LGBTQ gamers) over their choice of games (and he just did) just because the game somehow managed to offend this delicate snowflake. I don't care whether it's fallout, gta or even rapelay; because what people play is none of his damn business.
Yes, you can be someone else or somewhat propertyless on the internet - but you must not be forced to be, it's your choice, not other people's choice. (And no, the internet was not designed for that (obviously).)

As you can see (on page page 20 in this admitedly long thread) I critized him for what he said as well. But this doesn't make better what you said: "There is no place for LGBTQ people in gaming." There must be a place for all people in gaming, and nobody must be forced to take off his identity at the entrance.

Back to Fallout 4, I still don't know what's homophobic about it, but if it really is, that's something people must be allowed to criticize.

Quoting: reaVerThere is no place for LGBTQ people in gaming. There's only place for gamers.
Identity is not something you can take off like a coat.

Quoting: tmtvlAlso, so many people choosing Fallout 4, that is why LGBTQ people don't feel welcome in video gaming. I'm am disappointed and ashamed that such a homophobic game gets such a warm reception.
1) I've never heard of such accusations against Fallout 4. So people longing for Fallout IV - also those who care - might just not have heard of anything bad about it. Might you consider not condemning those?

2) I've done a short search for homophobic stuff in Fallout 4, and the first result was absolutely rediculous. There's a man and a woman, married, they get a child and give it a girl's name, which was "extremely traumatizing" for the author. The rant was absolutely and undenieably heterophobic. I hope that this was not your point, so might I ask you to give some pointers about real problems with Fallout 4?
