I'm not a native speaker either, but to my understaning, their wording was not wrong (just missinterpretable)?

Just a heads up 'Firewatch' is currently rather broken on Linux

(While I would recomment playing it in a single session, of course you must not be forced to do so.)

Quoting: liamdaweAnd how many are likely to finish it in one sitting? I won't recommend a game that currently breaks if you load a saved game, no one should.*gna* I misinterpreted it. I thought the save game has to be from the pre-patch version.

Quoting: LordpkappaIt's a shame, it's in my wish list, more testing for the Linux platform if you want to support it, it's not the first time.
Quoting: lejimsterI picked the game up recently on sale. I probably won't be playing it for a few weeks tho. I hope they have it fixed by then.
Quoting: GuestI would have bought the game during the last sale if that bug hadn’t been present. Hopefully for the christmas sale they’ll have fixed it…According to what I read here, no-one of you will meet the problem:
Quoting: LukeNukemFor anyone who hasn't read the thread;
it apparently works fine! You just can't use the mouse if you continue from a saved game.
Silence from Daedalic Entertainment is an absolutely beautiful story-rich adventure game, my thoughts on it

Quoting: Ray54It looks like a very interesting game. Although the predecessor Whispering World did not have a Linux release, the game was available in an adventure pack with mostly Linux compatible adventures sold by Humble Bundle a couple of years ago, so many of us may well have a Windows copy available. I have played it (not to the end) under Wine, and it ran well. I certainly liked Whispering World, so will buy this game from this very professional developer.The end of Whispered World should be seen! (AFAIR best before playing Silence.)

I would probably buy any new Daedalic adventure. Even better that you're liking it. *willbuysoon*

I cannot find the thread anymore (deleted?), but this might have been a case where nagging for a Linux version in game's Steam forum actually worked. :) Have it on the list, looks good, sounds good!
You might want to keep an eye on 'Silence', the new point & click adventure from Daedalic Entertainment

Quoting: anewsonIf we compared solutions to point and click game problems they would likely be identical (by design).I'm not sure if I understand: Do you mean the solution is always pointing and clicking?

Quoting: voyager2102Are you by any chance trying to run an old unity engine game on an XFS file system ;) Your problem description sounds a lot like it (XFS on your home dir would suffice to break it in default configs)No, all ordinary, ext4 and stuff. And I don't think Daedalic usually uses Unity. I had at least problems with Deponia and Harvey's New Eyes. I remotely remember there was some file case problem with Deponia.

I'm playing it through at the moment, and I can already tell you that the Linux version seems to work perfectly.Really? I think this would be the first Daedalic game for me to at least correctly save and restore options (all about four...) on Linux!
