New Linux Gaming Survey For June

I wanted to proudly answer the question "Which of these retailers did you use to buy your Linux games last month?", but there's an option missing: Real boxes in the real life market around the corner!
Admittedly, that answer will not be chosen very often, but I think it belongs there just for the beauty of the fact that it is possible to do that. Pillars of Eternity it was, btw.

Unfortunataly I'm not sure if this company is totally aware of that.
You're right. Valve is only one of the most successful companies in the gaming industry. I'm sure they don't know what they're doing.
I really think they are very successful despite being not very professional about some things. Every AAA game gets far better marketing than Valve does. Look at the timeline of Steam Box / SteamOS / Steam Machines, look at why the word "Valve time" has been coined, look at the recent PR desaster...

It's not that I personally find that dislikable. It just doesn't point at people being very aware of stuff like corporate ientity.

I also have a déjà-vu. Did that happen already once in the past?

Quoting: InsperatusThis is also exciting because it (at least symbolically) means Valve is fully adopting linux, the Steam logo now means linux.
Yep! Best to take it as a sign of commitment. It's actually kinda epic, although, I think many people will just confuse what it means, thinking it's just a Steam logo. Hopefully Valve has a huge marketing machine that comes into play later this year and into next. They need to make people aware of what SteamOS is and how to get it and why people would want it.

Torment: Tides Of Numenera RPG Has A New Trailer

Quoting: gojulI didn't encounter many issues with Pillars except a bad bug which broke the game (yeah a character that does not want to move anymore) but the combat system seems to be fixed by now.
I didn't play (or own) it before the last patch; have there been severe problems?

Honestly, I was badly let down by Pillars of Eternity (mainly the terrible combat which I find impossible to manage)
Played it about the whole weekend and holiday day, loving it!
After 3 or 4 hours and many deaths I thought I couldn't cope with it, but now it works out much better.

Oculus Has "Paused" Linux Development On The Rift VR Headset

Quoting: BreezeVR may be interesting to me with Kinect games, but I don't have interest in it for most games. I can move the mouse faster than I can move my head. Steam needs a Kinect type sensor to go with the VR.
It's not about speed, it's about immersion.
