Planet Nomads expands again with gamepad support, customizable key bindings, FOV slider and more

From what I know of the game so far (mainly from the updates on Steam and a bit of your gameplay a few months ago), I'm surprised they waited this long to add a FoV slider. The devs seem to be the types to be on top of that sort of thing.

I'm very interested in the game, and this only helps. It's got a lot going for it, like non-fantasy basebuilding and the vehicle assembly stuff.

Tacoma, the next game from the 'Gone Home' developers should get day-1 Linux support

I'm currently trying to decide if there's any good reason for me not to pre-order this, and I'm coming up empty. It's not something I usually do, and I don't really use GoG a lot, but otherwise that's about it.

Some thoughts on LandTraveller, the rather sweet top-down RPG

I see you enjoyed it much more than Samsai, who was apparently resistant due to the same oldschool anime look that you found appealing. I admit, from the little bit he played on Friday it does look interesting.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought the crafting menu looked a lot like Terraria.

In the future, nobody listens to jazz. Only NuMetal, it was made law in 2040.

Anyhow, I've had my eye on this for ages, and aside from the Gone Home connection I'm really interested in some of the new mechanics of this game. It looks like they've packed in a lot of individual story arcs, which promises to make me very happy indeed.

I saw someone saying that Divinity: Original Sin is best if you're playing with friends. Is it actually any good for single-player, or should I not bother with it?

Quoting: KelsThing is, I wouldn't mind playing this as a more "support" type character, where I'm going off into the non-PvP wilds, exploring and gathering materials while fending off mostly hostile wildlife/monsters, while still playing a role in the larger player base. That kind of thing appeals to me more than going head-to-head in hostile zones. But there'd need to be stuff to do, interesting things to find when exploring, world lore to provide immersion, etc.

Sounds like you're describing an Elder Scrolls game :D

Honestly, I'd be fine with that. If only Bethesda would agree.

Quoting: KelsBut what do we have for MMOs with PvE content on Linux? All I can think of off the top of my head are Runequest, Ryzom, and I guess Wakfu, all of which have their problems.

Runequest ?
Isn't that a board game.
I thought you mean Runescape , no ?

I don't play either one, so close enough. :P

But really, is Runescape worth the trouble? It seems hard to find an accurate answer to that given how committed the die-hard fans seem to be.
