Quoting: Purple Library GuyThe title looks redundant but it actually isn't. I can envision sequels like "Space Rabbits at Sea" or "Space Rabbits: European Vacation".

While I agree that on a “consumer”-oriented distro nobody should ever have to install from source, I can't understand the attitude that refuses to learn. You might find it useful or interesting in the future.
Dude, I used to run Slackware. I know all about building from source. Back then, and on the RedHat 6 series before it, that's all you could do. It was a pain in the ass and I hated every time I had to do it. A good third of the time, problems cropped up that I had to call a more Linux-savvy friend to come and fix it, an imposition he didn't mind but I always felt bad about anyway.

The very last thing I want to do is go back to those days. So I have every sympathy for someone who refuses to for their own reasons. "Useful or interesting" is for techie hobbyists, and I'm happy to leave it to them.

Quoting: AcrophobicI've been playing Terraria lately. I've never played sandbox game before but I've heard many good thing about it. Since it was dirt cheap on last sale, I bought it. Unfortunately, I don't really like it, but somehow I can't stop playing it.
Exactly how I would describe my time with Terraria. I would even give it a the status of great game, if it wasn't for the shitty control mechanics.
I tried Terraria recently, and seriously could not get into it. Partly because of the terrible control setup (crafting especially), but partly because you can't really play it without a wiki open in another window. I think it's okay if you're playing with other, more experienced players who can show you where the fun things are at, but solo it's nothing to write home about.

So I went back to Crea [External Link], which I've had for quite a while, and found it's much more fun to play. Same concept, but a bit more cohesive and more interesting combat and crafting. It's got more of an RPG focus and a lot more quality of life stuff (like a skill to detect minerals so you're not just randomly digging for hours on end).

  • AER Memories of Old - Backlog cleaning. Flying around floating islands on a bit screen is such a magical experience
  • I liked AER quite a bit, although I recall by the end I started to get a bit tired of it.

Also been playing a little Basingstoke after finally picking it up on Itch, along with Fairy Solitaire. Both pretty good, and Basingstoke really pushes the tension of trying to make your way around a hazardous environment, mostly in the dark.

I've been playing ISLANDERS [External Link] and it's fantastic. A tight, minimalistic city builder with some interesting mechanics, but doesn't demand as much of your time and attention as something like Cities Skylines. The sort of thing you can play an hour or so, go do something else, then come back to it and keep on rolling.

I've had this for a while, and it's pretty fun. Although granted I've only played up to the desert level.

As a "yuri" fan (although not a VN fan especially) myself, I find that "Subtle love-like feelings between girls" is a pretty questionable thing to put at the top of your feature list. It's like lowering expectations for your story ahead of time with "don't really expect any emotional payoff, it's just gonna be vague".
