Probably going to continue playing Lufia II via Mednafen, as well as finally making some more progress in CrossCode (damn that fire temple anyway).

It's...an okay game. While I appreciate what it tries to do, and there are some really good ideas in there, but when I played it at least they weren't developed enough to really make them work.
Fine for a free game, I suppose.

Just booted it up and it works great. Haven't played more than a few seconds, but that's fine. I can get to that later.

Good lord, I hope they change the font on the cards before release. It looks terrible and hard to read.
Seems to me that given how you need to get your combat turn over with fast to prevent your opponent from building their economy, and each card having a unique set of moves, there's a really strong advantage to players who are very familiar with the cards and every one of those moves, since they can finish combat rounds much faster. Newer players would be at a big disadvantage there.

Quoting: AcrophobicI've found that at my level of skill, it's basically impossible to get hearts via combos. My only way to make back health is the shop by the second checkpoint. The zoomed-in view, where not a lot of enemies are on screen at once, and my difficulty figuring out what the effective range throwing the bird is, really play against me there.Quoting: NezchanHaving tried it a little, it seems fun and also I'm bad at it.Same !
I've played it for several hours, and I think my main problem is it's too combo based. Want to use special attack ? Do combos 2x. Want to regain some health ? Do combos 4x.
I often find myself only have one health, but there are not enough enemies in current room to gather combos. I hope it will get balanced later in full release.

Very cool deck-building roguelike Dicey Dungeons alpha ending soon, last chance for early price + updated

I love Dicey Dungeons, although I haven't really put enough time to beat it on most of the characters. Basically waiting for the full release and whatever balancing the dev does at this point. I doubt I'm good enough for the hard mode, so that'll be left untouched in the end I guess.
