I am mystified by the implication that a card game is somehow "lesser" than other kinds of games. Seems kind of insulting to the people who enjoy playing them, and the people who put work (in this case, four years of work) into making them.

Quoting: subSo sad, all that Valve came up with after all these years is a card game. :/And the upcoming In the Valley of Gods that Campo Santos is working on. And multiple other game projects that have been mentioned but haven't been officially announced yet.

Does the survey get trigered if you use Lutris as a launcher for Steam games?

No USB or headphone/mic ports on the front? That seems inconvenient.
Otherwise, they look fantastic.

If they came up with some really original stuff along those lines, it would help set them apart. Story would be easier to do though.

Quoting: no_information_hereI keep looking at this game and thinking it is beautiful, but not quite having the urge to buy. I generally don't buy early access anyway, but I am hopeful for the full release. I don't mind something slow-paced and open-world like Signal from Tolva, but at least that has a story to pull you along.I think there are non-story things they could do to maintain interest. Worthwhile collectibles, for instance, or impressive things to find while exploring, whether that's natural vistas or myterious things left by other earlier spacefarers.
Still unsure...

Quoting: GuestI feel somewhat skeptical. While tower defense does appeal to me it needs to be well done, the last tower defense game I liked was defenders quest.Come to think of it, whatever happened to Defender's Quest 2? I haven't heard anything about it for ages, even though it looked so promising.
The rather retro looking RPG 'Afelhem' arrives in Early Access

Hmm, I can't say there's much in the trailer that I can't find elsewhere, or make me actively want to spend a lot of time with the game. Crafting seems pretty basic, graphics look like a basic roguelike tileset with no animations to speak of, no real indication of the quality of writing, and according to the Steam forum they're still missing a lot in terms of basic systems (like inns for full heal) and balance is way off.
The ridiculously low price makes it tempting, but I think I'll wait to see what other folks say about it first.

Desert Kill looks like it could be a somewhat amusing top-down action shooter

I feel like the super-cutesy voice might bug me after a while, but everything else looks like loads of fun.
Agreed that the drawn artwork doesn't really fit that well with the voxel characters, but at least they look like two different takes on the same characters so I don't mind it much.

That "learned to draw by tracing anime" art is a real turnoff, though. I can't imagine looking at that for 20-30 hours would be an enjoyable experience.
