Excuse me, but I think if you do your reasearch you'll find that Abraham Lincoln said that.

I do think it's a big point in their favour that not only did they not try to backpedal or get out of it, they recognized exactly what they did wrong and took steps to make good with the affected party and the community.

If anything, the worst villain here is what seems to be a loophole that allowed the dev to revoke the key in the first place.

Magic battle arena 'Magicae Mundi' has entered Early Access with Linux support

Quoting: 14I'm going to be sexist and say that those are some girly-lookin' sidearm throws. It doesn't look like they're trying very hard due to that, kinda just lobbing it out there.
It looks like they're doing a basic shooter, but replacing thrown (magic) missiles (at the darkness) with the usual guns without much other change. If I were looking for a magical arena shooter, I'd want a lot of variety to the spells, arm and body movements, even if that slows the action slightly. Immersion is important too, and maybe you can have spells that shoot out a bunch of rapid-fire missiles, while others do movement limitation on the enemy and so forth.

But well, Early Access and all that.

I kind of like the low poly aesthetic as a general rule, but here it looks really empty. The fact that you and your target stay so far apart that you can barely see each other doesn't help a lot.

The character animation seems really awkward, with the characters standing in strange positions. It's the earliest part of early access though, so I suppose they've got time to work on it.

Quoting: ShmerlWhat about We Happy Few? They stopped providing Kickstarter updates and went completely silent. It's been a long time since the release already. How long should it take them to make a Linux build?
From the reviews I've been seeing, they don't even have a working build for Windows and consoles yet.

and if you own the original there's an upgrade option for £3.99.
Weird. I own the original and have the remaster in my library already without me paying anything. Download it right now.
If you've got the DLC then I think it's free. The price is for people with the original but not DLC, which I thought was the case for me. Apparently not.

I wonder if it does the wrong monitor/shuts off other monitor trick that the original did for me. I had to run it windowed, which isn't actually optimal for this sort of game.

Quoting: buenaventuraWow, yeah Kentucky Route Zero is worth every penny, it's a fantastic, amazing game! Buy it! I am a patron of Cardboard Computers (who make KRZ) and they are such awesome devs. Act V is on the way! (perhaps late 2018/early 2019).

KRZ moved me in a way that games just don't do, it's writing is reminiscent of my favorite author Cormac McCarthy.
Listen, after their promises that the whole game would be finished by late 2013, their continued missing of their own updated release dates, their lack of communication and highly opaque approach to updating in general, and their last promise on Steam given more than a year ago:

It will be available for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. We'll release it at the same time as we update the PC version with Act 5, which we're planning to do in the early part of 2018.
You'll forgive me if I'm just a little bit skeptical that we'll ever see the game completed.

Don't get me wrong, I love what I've played of KRZ to death, but I've long since come to the conclusion that we're either dealing with vapourware or a team of auteurs who keep fiddling with it until it's perfect, which will be about half past never.

tl;dr I don't trust Cardboard Computers enough to believe that we'll see Act V before mid-century.
Hey! Psssh, I am in the Discord and they regularly publish updates about what they are doing, constantly communicating etc., so they are clearly working on it. Recently they released a nice poster for Act V to Patron supporters, and they also sent me a (physical) post card, they seem to be in this for real :) I dont mind years of development, they seem like nice people and I dont care if I play it now or in a year. They want to get it right, and since it's such a sensitive product I think that is 100% OK.
You might want to remind them that there are a lot of people not in their discord, who might want some kind of update. Given they haven't posted a damn thing on Steam in over a year, and that was a promise that it would be out somewhere on the order of six months ago.

Having their own little space and communicating there isn't what I call good communication overall. Hell, I didn't even know their Discord existed until I read your post. Certainly the pinned "How to get in touch with the developers" on the Steam forum doesn't mention it, all that's there is their email. It's a 2013 post that's never been updated, so I'm not even sure that works.
