The best devs yet have been Hand of Fate....they actually installed ubuntu, and went out and got an nvidia card because of the reported issues....very impressed

Pretty sure won't take nearly as long, now that they have some experience with linux porting...and the fact it will be a target for development from the get-go

Quoting: GuestMeh... As stated in the article, the first one is still buggy (textures issues...), so I'm going to stay clear of the second one.
What makes you think it will be like the first one

Quoting: Astrogbudny, it more lools like their inability to build 32bit binary properly. Or maybe it was some kind of fanatic opinion. Because there must be a choice. Everyone who thinks about other people gives them that choice. Otherwise it calls an enforcement and a disrespect.
Your opinion sounds pretty fanatic to me, and Feral's was perfectly reasonable

Quoting: jdubSome devs need to realize steam forums are the worst...every steam community is balls. Taking what trolls say (and there will ALWAYS be trolls) personally is really not professional...announcing it on the forums is just setting yourself up for this.
Alright then, I guess I'll have to start ignoring my email, the forums and all other channels through which the community can give me feedback.

(I don't disagree with you that the Steam forums are pretty bad in general though)
Nobody said to ignore your emails. Just ignore the ones that are from angry idiots.

Quoting: jdubI've played this in windows and I was not all that impressed, as opposed to something like LFD2, which is obviously lots more polished and full of content. This game lacks those 2 things.
Does Left 4 Dead 2 have all these games modes? I own it but haven't played it yet but I have seen a few gameplay videos.
They are similar but different, L4D2 actually has more modes than this, however contagion is slower paced and more realism based. Feels less arcadey. The main draw of contagion seems to be that you can become infected with a zombie bite and then join the horde while in co-op mode

Quoting: OZSeafordI often wonder what is the point of a game like that...

The answer is there:Steam Achievements... [External Link]

Just try to complete all the challenges... in multiplayer...

Apparently, there are plenty of Easter Eggs in the game as well.
The point is that there is no point...

it's a parody of all those simulator games that were coming out
