Cygames announced an AI studio, and then put up an apology over it

People from Cygames' community that complain about the idea of them using AI are such hypocrite. Cygames is a gacha-making company that exploits gambling addicts for profit.

NVIDIA announce a native Linux app for GeForce NOW

I think Valve should partner with Nvidia to have the app natively available in the SteamDeck. Since you need to own the actual games (e.g. on Steam), it might be a win-win situation and provide a solution for the Anti-Cheat issue (assuming the latency is decent enough for online play). But at the same time it gives access to GamePass which is definitely a loss of income for Valve.

Epic and Steam banned it but HORSES is out now on other stores

I think Steam made a good call when they originally blocked Horses build in 2023. I don't think the scene is an actual depiction of a child in a sexual manner, but I guess if there's doubt, better remove it.

However I don't understand why this story only became public 2-years later, why Valve refused to release the patched game and why EGS chickened out. If you play the game now there is nothing deserving a ban.

Pocketpair announced farming life sim spin-off Palworld: Palfarm

Pocketpair is playing with fire with this one... But at the same time every one is either copying, improving upon and/or altering existing gameplay mechanics to create a game. Innovation through iteration and is part of the natural creative cycle. That's how we evolve as a species [exagerated].

Copyright law was already fucked up, but patent law seems even more absurd. How can you patent a decades-old gameplay mechanics you're not even the inventor!? Nintendo is creating itself an arsenal of weapons to use in court to remove competition. And nobody will ever fight against Nintendo, unless you're a very big shot.

Next year you'll hear Nintendo claiming they invented farming game and create a patent where you navigate in a grid-like environment and plant crops with the help of a automatically controlled sub-characters.
