Only 2 years after release Star Trek: Resurgence is being delisted

So, it's basically abandonware now.. I know that's not legally correct, but in my eyes that's free game then. And that really sucks, the developers at Dramatic Labs deserved that revenue from what I can tell. Never knew it existed until I saw this article, but it looks like a damn solid Star Trek game.

Looks like good fun, and doesn't seem to be using Unreal Engine or chasing the latest ray-tracing trend either, great! :)
I'll keep an eye on it.

Counter-Strike 2 gets a major update with reload changes, custom game modes

Quoting: vic-baythe issue with the new reload system, you just delete partially empty mags from the game instead of pocketing them for later. i think it should be fixed.
Yeah that's ideally what should happen, pocketing I mean. I understood why mags get deleted from existence in say, Battlefield 2142, but CS2 is a monumentally more modern game. They have the technology.

Quoting: Liam DaweI'm still not sure why you would want to actually use it.
Verbatim, same thing I muttered to myself when I clicked on the article.. 😃

Not a CS player myself, but, I always thought more FPS games should keep track of magazines rather than bullets. I think it's a great fit for CS :)

Worked really well in Battlefield, made it fun even, I think.

Nightdive Studios confirm Linux and macOS ports of System Shock are cancelled

A shame. Their System Shock remake is, in my opinion, really damn good. I had a lot of fun with it, as opposed to their "retro remasters" which are inferior to pretty much every free community driven source port they stand amongst as a paid product.. Suppose this reinforces their true position in the market and where their priorities are.

Valve fix up more SteamVR 2.0 Beta issues

Has anyone been able to get SteamVR 2 to work on Plasma Wayland? I'm dying to get rid of my Windows partition with SteamVR on it (and nothing else lol), I could use that SSD for much better things..

Unity nuked their Terms of Service on GitHub as 'views were so low'

Their social media damage control tone is so nauseating. At the same time as they're using this totally infantilising speak, they have the balls to say "we are soo disappointed and upset by this 😭😭😭 we're victims too here"

Microsoft - keep your filthy hands off Valve, leak shows MSFT would buy Valve

One can say whatever they like about Nintendo and Valve both, Microsoft gobbling up either (or worse, both) would be cataclysmic. Things are already starting to become monopolised, we'll all benefit from them doing their own thing.

Embracer closes Volition developer of Freespace, Red Faction, Saints Row

I always knew Embracer was trouble from the start. May Volition's Descent be quick and painless.
